Title: Lets see some Fletching
Post by: Cyclic-Rivers on October 13, 2010, 09:44:00 AM
Hello,

I am almost done fletching my arrows.  I was trying to decide how to maniupulate my feather burner.

So lets see em.  Show me your fletching!

If you are curious, my arrows are being fletched with 4", 4 fletch natural turkey and white barred feathers. I was hoping for a little more white in the barred feathers but They're looking good so far.

These fletchings are from a turkey I was fortunate to have killed.

That's cool guys. I was thinking about some type of shield cut or Pope and Young Cut. Ken and Killie, so far I like the way yours were cut.

Sure glad I have not developed the skills that many of you have. I just wouldn't want to shoot them. Many seem to be treasured art.

Friend, all modesty aside, I do hear that occasionally:
"Your arrows are too pretty to shoot."
The way I look at is this, pretty arrows shoot just as well as ugly ones, why not have something special?

That's why I like ugly arrows.....they are easy to shoot and I don't feel bad when I break or loose one!

This thread has given me a serious case of "Fletching Envy".      :scared:     I suddenly feel so inadequate.    :notworthy:  Lol! Awesome arrows, just beautiful!

Great looking arrows guys.  I especially like the pink ones.  I have tried several colors but I see pink all the way to impact every itme and it is the only color I do so far.  I also have fletching envy as mine are plain with 2 pink 1 white.  Sometimes I get crazy and put on a white wrap!  I would have to order them to look that good!
