Title: No Seller's remorse yet
Post by: Cyclic-Rivers on October 11, 2010, 09:10:00 PM
I sold my training wheels this morning.  I have been shooting trad for a bit over 1 year now and have not shot the compound since.

I have  a lot of good memories with that old bow but it has been in its case in a closet for one year and I still had the memories so, I figured if its tucked in the back of a closet or if it was gone, there wouldnt be any difference.

I figured I could use the wad of cash to help go to Hog Heaven in January anyhow.   :goldtooth:

It has been all day and I haven't any sellers remorse like I thought I would have all year.

Charlie,

I did the same thing over twenty years ago and have never regreted it. I think you will find there are plenty of others here that have taken the plunge.

Mine is gone but I got a Dan Quillian longbow for mine.

Then I sold the longbow..lol

I had the fun of shooting one of Dan's bows before it left my place though.

Only about 9 thousand more to try...lol

God bless,Mudd

I did the same this last summer, although my wheels were so old, I could only get some arrows for the small amount I got.  Actually I was surprised anyone would buy it, it was 30 years old!, but I found someone who wanted to see if he was interested in any form of archery (didn't want the challenge of trad).

I still have mine, but they are collecting dust  since all I am interested in shooting are my L.S. LB and my Palmer RC.

I guess letting you use that Mikuta longbow last year must of helped seal the deal.......or it was my charming personality   :biglaugh:   !!!!!

Just keep in mind...you can miss just as easy with a compound.
You have been practicing all year. You have put in your time mastering your trad bow and have tuned it, so now your ready to go make some kills with it!
Good luck this year.
