There was a thread here, can't remember how long ago, but somebody did a "do it yourself" thread on how they did an ASAT bow camo job.
I have searched and can't find it. Can anyone recall that thread and where it is?
Thanks.

See if this is it...
Looks like you nailed it for him Rastaman!!
Thanks for giving the assistance for another tradganger.
God bless,Mudd
I just use boot dressing or liquid shoe polish and a brush.works great, you have to let the clothes air out a few days.
Thanks rastaman, but thats not the one I remember. Still looking.
I seem to remember John Scifres doing a piece on self camoing his bow. But I couldn't find it.
I'll send John a pm and see if he can direct you.
God bless,Mudd
this is a good thread.

I think what he is talking about was a guy who took a pair of Dickies work pants in tan and used a can of black spray paint to do the ASAT pattern. Looked real good.
Here is another (http://sticknstring.webs.com/simplebowcamo.htm)
i found John Scifres post...it was called 'a super simple camo job" but the link and pictures were deleted. i understood from the original post that Raineman wanted to know how to "Asat camo a bow"...not clothes, but that may just be me. Good luck and let us know what you end up with. Maybe John will repost his thread.
No your right I must have read it to fast as I thought it was clothes :knothead: . No more wire hangers mommy...LOL
Yeah, me too..ooooops! :(
You should contact John.
I know his was a bow, I remember it because it looked so fantastic.
God bless,Mudd
rastaman, that one is about as close as I remember. Seems I remember someone doing a recurve with similar methods as the one in your link though. It turned out much lighter than John's and was more "spread out" if that makes sense.
Maybe I'll go from what you guys have provided for me, and wing it. I was going to have this bow dipped, but even the minimal expense of that is just more than my budget can handle right now.
I'll take a few pics along the way, and if it turns out like I want it to (or not) I'll post some if you guys are interested.
Thanks for all the replies, and if anyone finds any different links, please post them.
Is this Stallion Paint Along (http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=061083) what you were looking for?
Super Simple Camo (http://sticknstring.webs.com/simplebowcamo.htm)
Thanks guys. I think I'm just gonna' wing it with a combination of John's Super Simple and the Stallion job. Should be fun.
