Do any of you Hill shooters use a bow quiver on your bow? Would like some thoughts on performance and how you think it handles with the extra weight.
Riser length is too short if you put a strap-on quiver on the fades,to me it would look funny on a Hill.JMO
I agree. Hills are delicate and graceful, not to mention light. All that would be spoiled with a bow quiver, IMO.
I never put any quiver on any bow I owned even the wheels.I cant shoot with it I don't know why,Im weird i guess. :dunno:
I've been curious myself, I've tried it on other longbows but haven't tried it on my Hills yet.
It's a well known fact that if you put a bow quiver on a Howard Hill bow that the ghost of Howard will come and knock a knot on your head a calf could suck.
At least that's what I heard. :archer:

Please don't give Howard Hills ghost my address, I have used a Great Northern strap on quiver on mine and it works fine for me. As far as looks, I have no taste, so looks good to me also.

Have done it in the past , particularly on my shorter Hills ... sure makes 'em steady !
Having said that , i don't really like bow quivers and have not had one on a Hill or Hill style bow for the last 7 years ...
The Selways work well as does the Great Northern strap on Longbow ...
But so does a good back quiver !!!
Eagle's Flite Cherokee model bow quiver is an excellent match for a Hill. I use bow quivers on all the bows I use for hunting, including Hills.
Sacrilege! No bow quivers on any of my Hill bows! BQ only for me. Whatever suits you.
I have shot and hunted with a bow quiver on my Redman, but not much. With all my bows, I have become a back quiver enthusiast.
Only back quivers for me, I like to keep the bow as light as possible, better balance.

That would make a great cover for TBM a ghostly Hill whacking a guy on the noggin as he is waiting for a deer to get in range.
Nope. Tried one once for a couple of days and couldn't stand the feel. I use a Catquiver Mini for hunting and a backquiver for stumping and 3-D.

Well put Mr. Lamb....... :biglaugh:
Thanks for the replies everyone. I really didn't want to put one on my bow but, was curious as too how folks shot theirs. I cannot use a back quiver as it hangs up on everything where I hunt here in Oregon! Yes, I've tried. I have narrowed it down to a side quiver instead. I can make things work with it.
get a back quiver that draws from the bottom.the top would be closed and wont hang up as much
