Title: What do you carry in your quiver?
Post by: Mr.Magoo on October 06, 2010, 10:32:00 PM
I just received an ArrowMaster quiver and am looking forward to trying it out in the next couple of days.

Just curious what others carry in their back quivers (besides arrows).

My quiver only holds arrows and nothing else, so I carry my possibles in a camo fanny pack.
I carry 4-broadhead tipped cedar shafts and one small game arrow with either a home made blunt with a slice of hacksaw blade epoxied in it or a judo point.

Camo fanny pack includes:

-2-sharp knives
-Several different game calls for deer, turkey, and predators (rabbit squeal and howler for coyote)
-Paper towls
-Pruning shears
-Heavy nylon parachute cord
-various munchies
-20oz. bottle of diet Mt. Dew and 16oz. bottle of water
-cell phone
-xtra bic lighter
-essential tags/license

I will sometimes stray a mile or more from the house so I carry enough with me just in case the worst should happen and I'm stuck out there for a day or so.

Have a pouch on the side of my heavy leather BQ where I sometimes carry a glove or stringer. May make it larger to carry more stuff & I'll use it more.

That is for hunting I have an extra string, stringer, change out heads for what I don't have on the arrows, Extra tab, arm guard, extra screw in hooks to hang stuff in the stand, extra pull of string.  I could put a lot more, but don't like to hunt for stuff, have things that will rattle on each other or add too much weight.

For fun shooting in the summer I have an extra string, stringer, change out heads for what I don't have on the arrows, Extra tab, and bottle of water or gator aid in the bottom of the quiver.  A bottle will set right in there with your field point or blunt arrows just setting and not stuck in the foam.  Works great and there is a drain hole for the condensation or spills.
