I was wondering does anyone use any type of limb pads or put wax in the limb pockets on there ACS, or is there no need for it on these bows. If so what material do u use to make ur pads?
I had to put wax on my black widow limb pockets to get it quite and rubber pads on some of my other bows to get them quite. Also I had to add pads because the limbs were contacting the riser and causing damage to the finish on some previous bows.
Also what brace height did you set your ACS at?
Thanks
I just got mine so I am not much help with the wax. I will follow this thread to see that for myself. My brace height is best at 7 1/16.
A&H ACS 57 @31 64" Carbon riser.
I don't have any type of limb pads and my acs is dead quiet.
Thanks, hope to get some more people to chime in!!!
62", 61@28, bh SET AT 6 3/4"
no need to cushion the limb pockets
64" three piece #54 @ 28" no pads or wax, brace set 7 1/4" (sweet) 64" one piece #54 @ 28" same thing, you don't need to do anything to them, quiet, and fast.
Nothing on mine & very quiet.
I have 3 3pc ACS CX and whether they need it or not I gave them a little string wax between the riser/limb surfaces and a tiny bit of grease on the screws. Can't hurt, and they don't get taken apart or unstrung sometimes for years.
I do nothing. They are very quiet.
I don't have anything between mine and it is quiet.
Nothing needed. I have a 66" and a 64" that are braced at 6 3/8 and a 58" that is braced at 6 3/4
Dead quiet bows.
Thanks everyone for all the input, I have my first ACS on the way and cant wait to get it.
You're going to like it! I had one awhile back and didn't have to put anything on it to keep it quite. Great hard hitting bows!
