Title: fletching?

Is there any way to "revive" your fletching after they have gotten wet and bloody?

I have revived wet fletching by allowing it to dry and then passing the fletching through the steam generated by an old tea kettle.

I have tried, with mixed results, dipping them in hot water (not boiling - just tap hot).  Then I spin them to remove excess water and let them dry.

Like I said, mixed results, but pretty good.  On my red  fletching the water turns pink so there is some color loss, but not a lot.

I'll second what Frank said. Let them dry completely and then steam them. It works very well.

I have brought them back by first washing off the blood in cold or cool water, letting them dry then lightly steaming them.
The last Grouse I shot had blood on the first 2" of fletching. I just washed the feathers in cold water & let them dry. They came back by themselves, but they weren't completely matted down.
