My wife Laura and I sat out at our property yesterday afternoon. She had that "feeling" and decided to go with me as she had planned on getting a number of other things done yesterday afternoon I had moved her stand from which she had been eyeballed by too many deer. I put it in a tree that I thought would give her better concealment. At 5:30 she took a shot at this four pointer. Sign was pretty sparse so at dark we markded that last blood and came back this morning. Right off I found what was left of her arrow and the blood trail, which wasn't profuse, was, however steady. It turned out the shot was back farther than she thught but she got liver and lungs. The deer made it about 60 yards. She is shooting a DAS recurve, 45# with Beman 500 shafts and 200 grain 3 blade Razorcaps. She got two holes. Her bow quiver covers the exit hole. The entrance hole was huge.

I love women in camo. Congrats on a fine buck. Man, I wish I could get my wife to hunt with me.
I'd say your bride did very well.

Congrates! My wife had a buck by her last night also but couldn't shoot as we now have a 4 point on one side rule and she wasn't sure if it was legal. SHE doesn't like the 4 pt rule for sure!

Ain't it cool when our gals do good?!!
I have to admit, I have as much (if not more) fun hunting with my wife as I do when I hunt alone. We sit in stands and blinds together, spot and stalk together and just have a general hoot of a time with each other in the woods.
She is a hunter in her own right. She doesn't need me. I am just thankful she let's me hang around with her. She could just as easily tell me to, "Go find my own spot to hunt." but she doesn't.
I'm a lucky guy, and you seem to be as well. Way to go!
OkKeith

A fine job on a fine deer. :clapper:
 :clapper:
Congratulations to your wife (and you)!
bornagain....nope, no competition. I already have a turkey and a bear this Fall. Laura goes long spells between shots as she will not shoot a doe....a mother thing, and she admits it. However, if she does outdo me this season that's OK, too. She says as long as I take care of her tree stands and keep her broadheads sharp she'll keep me around. We bought 23 acres to hunt on for ourselves and although we hunt together she will often go out without me if I'm doing something else and since she still works I am out there often by myself. However, I did put her in what I believe to be the best stand on the property that I have found, so far.
