As some of you are aware I despise an alarm clock and all it stands for so my total amount of A.M.deer kills over the years can probably be count on 1 hand. I have to driver training at the school this morning happen to look out the kitchen window, low and behold a doe is meandering thru the sweet tater field. I grab the bow eased into the woods to try and cut her off. I stood there about 20 seconds and hear splish splish, holy crap this may work! she rounds the black berry brairs 10-12 yds from swish goes the bow whump goes the arra. Its stuck in a gum tree complete pass thru, with chunks of lung stuck the ribteks grooves. I find her after work I'm pushin being late.
How about that. Way to start off the week. Gonna be a long day. Make sure you post picts.

Lemons make lemonade!! Way to go bro!!
I don't suppose there will be any spoilage issues for a few hours. Just tell yourself it could take that long to find her from a blood trail anyway..lol
Congratulations!!
Tell David hey for me!
God bless,Mudd
What a start to your day! Congrats.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Nice way to start the day. Congratulations.
that bow got mojo!!!! Way to go!!! Congrats
That is just how fast it can happen
I love hunting the mornings, with most of my kills happening then. Glad you made a quick decision and headed for the woods, sounds like it payed off bigtime! Like penrosefred said, it can happen so fast!
Earlybird special. Great.
Way to go!!!
Good for you!
It was meant to be!! Congrats
Wish I could get that lucky.
Congrats, Recurveman. What a great start for the day.
I'm so envious of those living in a rural areas. I have neighber's house only 8' next to my house. Have to drive 2 hours to shoot a gun legally (or 45 min to an outdoor range). But my back yard is long enough (70') for archery. But no hunting. sigh-h-h

I love it when a plan comes together :)
I got the deer out after a LONG day at work. she went maybe 30 yds and spoilage was no problem, it was actually cool here today and she was submerged to boot. we didn't take any pics cuz the misses had the camera in her purse :banghead: . I always heard its better to be lucky then good. Mr. Barry I still cant thank you enough, I truely adore that bow.
i'd be willing to bet you had that deer on your brain alllllll daayyyyy loooooong lol. congrats on making the best of an opportunity and a good recovery, ruddy
Nice job! I thought I was going to get a shot at a turkey one morning before church a couple of springs ago as the Tom walked at the edge of the woods in the backyard (92 yards).
The vast majority of my hunting is in the AM. I've been 15 times this year with 12 in the AM and 3 in the PM.
