This is the short version of Tracy's bear hunt.I'm not sure why this video looks so unsteady. It was not that way until it was uploaded on youtube. It took 4 tries to get it to upload so for now this is what we have.
Tracy also killed a deer on the last evening of her hunt.We do not have video of that one,but I will try to get her to tell the story later.
More video and pictures to come.

Fantastic video ! Way to go Tracy !
This trip has another video. This one is mine,a buck I shot in one of my favorite oak flats.Hopefully it will not take 4 tries to get it to load.Like Tracy's bear video did.
Bill
The last story is a small doe Tracy shot on the last evening of our hunt. She put a very lethal shot on the deer so it just barely made it out of sight. We do not have vidoe of that hunt because it was raining to hard to take the camera out. There was a little extra excitement at the end of this trail. The deer died right on an atv trail. When my dad brought up the atv to haul the deer out he ran a skunk right down the trail we were all standing on.The skunk ran right through the middle of 4 of us standing around the downed deer.Luckily there was no assault on the olfactory glands. :scared: That could have been stinky.

Sounds like a great hunt Bill!

Great video.
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
God bless,Mudd
Awesome hunt. Congrats to both of you. I love to see the effects of that post adrenaline dump shaking the tree.
I wish AZ allowed bloodtrail dogs that Tanner would be just the ticket on elk.
REALLY GOOD. Tracy, Congrads on your 1st trad bear, I share your emotions, That is something you will never forget,,,,well until you get to my age anyway. Great work Bill, Filming may be the way to make a living in Traditional bowhunting??? See ya soon.
Thanks for sharing! Great story and video, Congratulations Tracy !
GLENN
Thanks for sharing, we have a Decker terrier we use for blood trailing. He has the same issue as Tanner just has no fear of bears or any thing else.
Great first bear.
Congrats Bill and Tracy! Great story, pics and trophies. :clapper:
Great Video and Great hunt. Congrats Tracy
 :notworthy:
Awesome! Was waiting for this post. Enjoyed it last year.
Very cool!!! The bears have been hitting the bait in the middle of the night and early morning for us as well. It has ben very tough this year to get one in during daylight hours. Congratulations to both of you on a fine MN hunt, a real nice bear and a good buck and a nice doe to top it off I would say that is a succesful hunting trip..Henry
Congrats Bill and Tracy. For sharing this hunt with us, Thank you.
Butch L
Thanks everyone.Tracy is adding the link for my deer video to our website now.Once she gets that done I will add it to the first page of this thread.
We had 3 good days of bear hunting before the full moon and constant rain slowed our daylight sightings of bear.I saw 5 bear in those 3 days and one looked like a black Volkswagon.I spent the next 5 days waiting on the big boy to show during daylight. He never came in during good camera light. After that I decided to spend my last two evenings deer hunting. The first evening I did not hunt that bear bait is the evening my dad killed the 240lbs boar in Tanners tracking story. If that is not a lesson in patience I don't know what is.
There was no shortage of bear.We had cameras on 3 bait sites. On those 3 sites we had pictures of 15 different bear. They were just hitting the bait at dark or shortly after. As the moon got fuller the bear hit the baits later at night.
Great Bear Tracy---It's so cool to shake like that! I love it!
The buck video link is added on the first page.
Bill
Bowbuilder Tracy said she would send you your own personalized copy. :goldtooth: Deep down she knows she is your hero. :biglaugh:
We have had some questions about Tracy's equipment. She was shooting a 56" SXT recurve 39#@25".The arrow is an easton redline with Abowyer Brown Bear heads, total arrow weight is 440 grains.
:campfire: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Bill, Emma and Adam are checking this thread out with me. They were very excited to see pics of Tanner. Emma giggled when she heard Tanner growling in the video. Awesome pics, video and hunt stories. Thanks for sharing your/our little buddy with us!!
The kids and I really enjoyed the second video. Excellent video! It's awesome seeing Tanner at work.
Kenny, tomorrow i will see if I can find some other pictures of him to send to you and the kids.I hope Emma and Adam dont miss him to badly.I think Tracy would sooner give me up then him.
Bill
Tracy's bear hunting footage could not have been actual footage. It must have been live footage.
I actually felt I was there with you two.
Can't recall any video's that I felt I was actually there. The bear moan recording was the best I can remember.
You guys deserve an award.
Thank you for making me a part of your hunt.
:clapper:
Now thats a hunting video! None of this fist pumping, I slayed that sucker stuff. Just a real hunt. Real emotions and respect for the animal.Good stuff! Thank you!And congrats!
Way to go Tracy your my kind of hunter, gets realy exciting doesnt it?
MARK :clapper:
Congrats Tracy and loved those emotions, the shakes are what I wait for all year!
Tracy
Just watched again gets better and better had my emotions going with you.
MARK
Not sure how I missed this...But Tilly & I are watching it together. Congrats to ya'll and Tilly is waggin' her tail for Tanner. Now the whole litter (born last September) has tracked game...except for Cash my pup from the litter. Our season starts Oct 18th so hopefully I can correct that...Doc
PS: Tilly & I agree that Tracy & Bill certainly qualify for Team Tippit :notworthy: What type of arrows are you using? What weight heads? I'll have to fire up the forge. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks again everyone. She sure gets shook up,and it is catching.I get just as excited videoing Tracy's hunts as I do when I have the bow.If you listen close when Tracy draws her bow for the second shot, she is shaking so hard her arrow is bouncing off of the side of the riser. :goldtooth:
Doc. We are glad you and Tilly approve.Tracy is shooting a 200 grain Abowyer Brown Bear. Her arrows are Easton Redlines.
Congrats to Tracy for her bear,we see the exitement. Thanks for sharing nice pics and story.
Tanner is a great addiction too to the Zipper family.
Awesome
Great video's!! Really enjoyed watching them, especially Tracy's bear. Congrats Bill and Tracy.
Awesome Video! Great job!
Benjy
Way too cool Tracy, a big :clapper: to you!
Thanks for the video as well, very well put together.
Cool video and congrats Tracy!
Fantastic stuff! Congratulations to both of you!
Great animals and great pictures and video.
Wow, that's beautiful... Great job both of y'all.
That was Tanner growling? Thank goodness! I thought the only other possible source was Bill.
Tracy, you reminded me of me, going through that wild roller-coaster ride of emotions after a kill. Definitely an honest recording of an honest hunt.
I tasted bear meat last fall, when my buddy ApplePie killed one out of my camp. Got me hot to kill one too, that is some very fine eating!
I made ersatz Rumaki over the campfire. Yummmmm!
Killdeer
Thanks everyone for your great comments. I had a wonderful time on my hunt and I truly enjoy putting the videos together to share with others. I had so many emotions going through me after shooting my bear, I didn't think I was going to be able to hold myself together.
I am blessed that I can do the things I love with the person closest to me (Bill).
Tracy
Tracy, thanks for sharing your hunt. It was neat to see your emotions and I'm happy to see you make that second shot. That bear was meant to be. Keep Bill in vittles and Tanner on bloddtrails. Don't forget to check my finger grooves on that ZSR!
Mike Gerard owlbait
great job tracy
Congratulations Bill and especially Tracy. Sounds like you had a great hunt. Bill, I guess your finger is doing better.
Congrats again,
Jamie
Congratulations Bill and Tracy, that deserves a round of OREO's.
Those are some awesome videos! Thanks and congrats...Ryan

Just watched Tracy's hunt about 6 times... Awesome!!! You two need to do a TV show to show the rest of the world how it's really done and what it's really about. Congratulations to both of you. Well done!
 :clapper:
Ron
Congraqdulations Tracy! Real nice video and great to see you and Bill interacting in the tree.
I didn't know a bear would come back after getting hit the first time. What damage did the first arrow do?
Congrats Tracy. Way to go. Thanks for the videos.
Congratulations to both of you. Good shooting. Always impressive to see that you dont need a 70# to hunt big game.
Thanks again for all the great comments. It is always imprssive to see what a bow with a well tuned arrow will do.Especialy one that has a broadhead that is KME sharp.
The finger is healing up nicely. If you look close when I draw my bow in the deer video you can see the big black skab.I'm just glad it got well enough that I did not have to shoot left handed.
Hey Joe this hunt is right up your alley.Plenty of time for sun bathing. We had 3 packs of Oreo's along on this trip.Sadly none survived. They were all thoroughly drownded in milk.
TMH,At first I thought the first arrow hit the bear also. After we got the bear back to camp and skinned out. There was not even a mark on the skin from the first arrow. It only hit hair.
Ron,Is the quiver working for you?Tell Jake I have his armguard ready.I will bring it to Kazoo, unless he wants it sooner.
Thanks again guys.I think the fact that she missed the first shot and the bear came back just made the emotions that much more intense.
Bill
Congrats Bill and Tracy !!!! :notworthy:
Bill
Awesome hunt that was pretty cool. Congrats.

Thanks Bill. Honestly, I was tempted to argue it may not have been the same bear. I watched the video over and over and kept pausing at impact. It was very obvious, so I thought, that the first arrow went through the neck. I just watched it again, a few times, and realized the little piece of lint on the bears butt was the same on "both" bears.
Video is a great thing when in doubt. Congrats to Tracy for a second try and clean kill.
Awesome video Bill and Tracy! A rare thing to see REAL emotions displayed in hunting videos today. The shot on the buck is not too bad either! ;)
Way to go Tracy
Congratulations to you and Tracy, Bill. You both did a good job and the video's are great. Didn't know you had one of Jeff's tracking pups?
Awesome guys!!!!!!!!!! What a great hunt!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to you both! Sounds like a great hunt!
Tracy and Bill,
Was that Abowyer sharpened on one of our systems??? If so you've gotta send me a pic and short story for our website's "Trophy Room". The quiver is awesome BTW. You couldn't have matched the color/grain any better if I'd sent you the bow. I'll see if I can post some pics but it's dark and raining here again today so I'll have to wait for a break in the weather so that the pics do the combo justice. Thanks and congrats again to both of you.
Ron
Congrats to both of you. That was some very enjoyable video
You guys are going to give Tracy a big head! :goldtooth: Tracy will be trying to make me designated camera man all season.
Ron,story and pictures headed your way.
Bill, I will give you a call.I have been wondering about your elk hunt.
Thanks again folks.

Congrads to both of you, thanks for sharing.
