Z is for Zardoz.

It isn't a "Z" at all.  It's a stylized lightning bolt sort of copied from the old high-end A.H. Fox double barrel shotguns from the early 1900's.  I started putting that on all the bows about 8 years ago and it has sort of stuck ever since.  Odd how these things develop a life of their own isn't it?

John, thanks for taking the time to answer.  I may have someone interested in trading for mine and I have seen guys here on Trad Gang refer to them as ACS Z CX once in a great while so I thought I'd ask.
Also, I got a response from Dan Palma through your website who said pretty much the same thing except he said:

"Terry it's just a Larry thing, it doesn't mean anything.

-Dan"

I'm not sure who Larry is - unless that is what the "L" in O.L. Adcock stands for?

Just adding to the legend of the "Z" I guess.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in.

Terry

bigbadjohn - now that's a reference that I bet (luckily) not many will get - that movie almost made me dislike Shawn Connery - thankfully I could never stand to watch more than about 10 minutes of it at a time  :)

Terry,
Larry Hanify is my partner and half-owner of A&H Archery.  He does all the lettering on the bows & limbs now so the penmanship is all his.  I have to take credit for the stylized lightning bolt.

Larry's responsibility for the partnership is to be the brains of the outfit and my responsibility is to be the looks of the outfit.  Thank heaven that Larry's smart!

Good gravy, it is not often that I bust out laughing when I read something here, but that last one was a DOOZY!

  :biglaugh:

I just got the skinny on Larry's elk hunt today and I think you both qualify as the brains of the operation.  You might want to farm out the "talent" portion to some fine young lasses to run the show booths...
