I just purchased a Martin Hatfield from a member and have squat to support it. No arrows, no nothing! I'm looking for a hard case for storing/travel for this bow. I can't afford the $200+ versions (skb, etc) but there should be a reasonable priced case out there someplace. I've done some searching on line and have searched some of the sponsors of this site, but so far no luck. Can anyone help me? Duane
I use a very solid TD shotgun case from Browning, same kind as the skd but tougher and cheaper,it was something like $80 by Sportsman warehouse.
I know you said hard case, but here is something to consider. Safari Tuff makes a nice roll up soft case that travels well. Toss it in your luggage, and surround it with clothes. It is also less conspicuous.
Hard cases are usually expensive. 3rivers has a decent tube style, but I have no personal experience with it.
I use a mtm compact arrow plus case. I picked mine up for about $25. It holds my bow, quiver and accessories.
After it's packed, I'll throw it in my duffel bag with all my clothes.
I have used Plano Field Locker Arrow Case that holds 36 arrows. I have one for a three piece longbow and one for a three piece recurve. They have worked well for me and cost less than $30 each.
NEET makes a decent soft T/D bow case for roughly $80. HS-TD-140....37"x12"x4.5"....Holds 1dz arrows and 1 bow. You could also fit an extra set of limbs inside. You can find it at FS Arrows....
Personally, I use a super soft case for local deer hunting here for all my bows, they stay strung from now until Jan. For travelling out west...I double wrap them in bubble wrap and put them inside my large duffel bag...along with my arrows and accessories.
One neat bag with everything in for airline travel.
I'm with Frank...Plano field locker fits my td, limbs, about 10 arrows and other small assorted stuff. Price was right!
I throw it in my duffel for travel.
