I planted this fall plot on my farm in Ohio about a month ago. It's been dry but the recent rain and cool temps have got it going now.

Saturday was opening day in Ohio and this doe decided to come into this plot around 6:15 PM.

I was blessed with a chip shot from my stand and am very thankful to have some venison for the freezer this early in the season. I used a home made 3-piece take down longbow, Gold Tip Traditional arrow and Magnus 2-blade on this hunt.

WOW!!! :bigsmyl:
What a week-end! Plenty of good eats for the freezer. I live just south of the Salmon River, on the Little Salmon River.
Brian- your food plot looks real good. What did you plant, looks like a mix of rape & turnip?
Congrats on the doe & salmon!
Congrats on a great weekend! Food plot looks good for only a month.
Hey Brian, way to go! With success like that, go buy a lottery ticket somewhere quick, you are on a roll! Cool pic of that doe at the food plot, looks like it really draws them in, and awsome fish you caught too. Thanks for posting, that's my kind of surf and turf pics. :clapper:
Pretty good stuff hunter. Thanks
Are those some of the new genetically altered fish?...lol Or is that water radioactive?..lol
Super nice!! Both on the freezer meat and the sushi!!!
Thanks for sharing!
God bless,Mudd
Now that is my kind of surf and turf
Man oh man! A little piece of heaven right there!
Salmon River, Good Stuff. :campfire:
Great stuff Brian
Brian, you got it goin' on! Congrats. :clapper: Better than hittin' the lottery! :biglaugh:
Nice!
Very cool!
Hey Mudd - As a matter of fact, those salmon spend most of their lives in Lake Ontario, and nearby are our three nuclear plants. They (the nuke plants) discharge their cooling water about a mile (or less) from shore. It is great fishing in that area, especially when it gets real cold. But, those big fish aren't radioactive (or are they) LOL.
Ron
What's that little bubble on your neck, Brian?
I bet if they did a b-b-b-bopsy on that it would be your little brother in there..spinal cord and all!!!
that's what happens when you eat radioactive fish!!
Those fish are HUGE, unless your arms are about 8 feet long! Lol! Nice job fillin' the freezer.
Nice fish and good shooting on the doe. Boy I wished the brookies I caught today looked like that! My kind of surf and turf.
