Well I feel for you, but, our archery season starts this Saturday in Cen. TX. Whoop!
Good luck and good huntin', Kevin. Our season is SO short compared to alot of places, but I'll take what I can get.
Our season started september 18th and runs thru the end of january here in south east PA. :archer2:
Nice photos. Can you not hunt with a bow during rifle season? Is there a rifle season about to commence?
Very nice photos. What were you using for a camera?
Our early season ended today. I still have 2 weeks at the end of Nov. into Dec. for the late season. Hopefully I will fill my tag in that time frame. Otherwise, I'll be dreaming of next year eating tag soup.
sorry to hear that, but our's gets started this Friday.
Too bad that the season is over already. Our son moved to Ft. Collins last November, and he's facing the same problem. He's used to Wisconsins three month long season, and this year he got in about ten days of chasing elk. He's done, too. So many animals, yet so little time.
Know the feeling, wanting to get another year in the Elk woods I put in and drew a limited opportunity area tag here in AZ. The season ended with no Elk harmed. I found a few worth chasing and hearing the few bugles I did made it all worth it.
Can't wait for deer to open again in Dec and hope the Elk draw will be kind next year.
Sorry it is over for you, but the photo's you shared were absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
got to start travelling...there are soooo many states with differnt opportunities!! our season in Michigan goes from the middle of sept now to jan 1...it is LOOOOONNNNGGG
please excuse my ignorance but how long is your season?
Man that sucks. I know Colorado is a great state, and I have always wanted to live out there BUT. Is it like that in most of the western states? Come to Ohio our bow season runs from Sep 25th strait through to early Feb. We have lots of public land and you might just get a shot at a monster, on public land.
Piggy - the general archery season is 30 day's.
I have traveled quite a bit in the past, but money is a little short this year.
Colorado is also a chose you weapon state. So if you buy an Archery tag you are done. They have some doe and cow tags that are left overs that a guy can buy and hunt on.
Thanks Elksong, That's rough only having a 30 day period to hunt Elk.
Cheers
Well, you could always get some bark off the birch tree and make a canoe!
As much as I love the Mts. in Co.,your season is entirely tooooooooooo short. Give and take I guess.
Deathmaster - Sorry I missed you question earlier. I was using a liitle Kodak Easy share, just a cheapy.
Great pics.
Does anyone show up for work in the month of September??? I might be a "no-show" with only a short window to hunt like that.
There is a bunch of vacation used during that month that is for sure!

Lots of pretty places to explore.
wow I am sorry but I am sure ya had some great adventures, i just had a friend move back to Arkansas from Salida co. partly due to the huntin seasons and draw areas out there etc compared to our 5 month statewide archery season
I love it out there but man, bowhuntin is a huge part of my life 11 months with no season would kill me
thats some beautiful scenary! wish we had that here in fl!! hope you at least had fun!
