for deer hunting for a year now. And it is now day four of this retched flu like symptoms. I had Friday free, but I did not think coughing and hacking with a mild fever would go well with bowhunting.
It is 1430 and I can't sleep so I am writing a boring letter. Why couldn't I get this stuff in January?
Hang in there! Better days are ahead.
Hope you feel better and good luck hunting.
get well. they will still be there when you get better.
this too shall pass
Eat as good as you can...if you can hold things down. Need raw food to help your immune system, hearty soups with lots of veggies, beans, escarole, kale, etc. Immune boosting stuff.
No fun!
I'm sorry!! I hope it passes quickly.
God bless,Mudd
Gary, I have hunted 2 days after major surgury. I hunt whenever I can, even sick! I tell my wife the fresh air does me good! Get better! Shawn
Here's how I treat myself when I'm sick...
I figure "well, I'm sick. I'm gonna be sick all day today..yuck. Do I wanna be sick on the couch. Or do I wanna be sick in the woods, riding motorcycle etc.. Honey..I'm goin out for a while..
Hope you get better.
Thanks boys! I ended up helping my son-in-law tear siding off their soon to be home this weekend. In fact, I did feel better later that day, until Sunday morning- then worse again.
I kept remembering that commercial on the Outdoor channel for the cough suppressor. You know the one where the guy coughs and scares everything out of the woods.
I am hunting a very small patch of woods that holds a few very nice bucks. It is small enough that a cough would probably doom me for the day. I have discovered that for me, my very best chance at a big deer is the first time I hunt from a particular stand.
Yup, your right, the first time. Hang in there and try to hunt another spot, like some others, I try not to let it keep me out of the woods.
