Been a crazy hectic lifestyle here as of late for me, thought I was gettin bored with my Sticks, been thinkin hard on the wheels alot lately, got her out "Blasted a few, that's all it took, Back to Earth !! Keep your mind straight fellas, it can be a funny thing !!
I hear ya. I'm 2 years in, totally trad and every once in a while, after a bad day of shooting I still think about the wheels. But I've proven to myself that I have it in me to be accurate with the stick and string. Once I was able to just blame misses on me and laugh them off I'm ok. But the good groups and the kills make it all worth it.
Been 22 years for me, put quite a few on the ground with the Stick, missed my fare share also, maybe just "Burned Out" {a little} ... We'll see, Good Luck All ...
so your keeping your bows?
You got it Gerardo, but Im down to the bare minimum, right where I wanted to be ... Good luck to yours and have fun with that little one, just got my two little Boys New L/B's today, They keep me going !!!!
I am also to a bare minimum and have been shooting my treadway longbow for a month exlcusively that has helped a lot, we have a 3d shoot tomorrow and I really hope I can beat my personal score and get in the podium, do you still have that mohawk?
you have to post some pics of your boys!!!
As much as I liked the Mohawk, I let her go, been shootin a shorter Hybrid, forced myself into one bow believe it or not, Yes Im gonna get some Pic's up of my "Tribe" they sure are fun to teach & watch ... Take Care
And I got her. If my "new" Mohawk is the one of which you speak. And I'm pretty pleased.
You have an arrow flinging device? Say it ain't so....
Been 30 years for me with traditional bows. Every once in a while I'll take a shot or two with a friends or my son-in law's bow. All it takes is a few shots...it's fun to fool around once in a while...but then I'm back! Can't remember a time over the last 30 years that I seriously thought about returning to the wheels. I enjoy the pure and simple nature of our chosen weapons.
Switched two years ago and will never look back. Not even tempted. No frills, no bolts, screws, or other crap to work loose, a lot less weight. I am loving trad and having the best hunting seasons of my life.
Hunting is a pleasure and killing is not nearly as important as the fun I am having. Throw in all the great folks on here and in my local trad circles and I couldn't justify going back to wheels if I tried.
