I understand completely!! I'm not sure I should let this cat out of the bag but that feeling doesn't change to any extent whether it's your 1st bow or your 500th or at least it hasn't for me and based on the level of excitement garnered from reading other prospective new owners threads and posts on here I'd venture a guess it still holds true for them also.

You're in with some real good company Lady!!

BTW there's a new-to-me Cari-bow Featherhorn Diamond Series, 66" and 50# @ 28",horn overlays on riser and limb tips in the mail system headed my way that I'm pretty stoked about myself....lol

Thank you for allowing us to share in your love for archery.

God bless,Mudd

The day a bow is to arrive is hard to beat!  I even meet the UPS or Fed Ex. guy half way across the yard!

hahaha! I'll probably be at work when it arrives. But my USPS lady knows me (i order alot of things online.) and she'll leave it in a safe place.

I have a vintage Wing Slimline Corsair comeing my way. Its a really light weight bow, cause my bow whose type shall not be named, is set at 30#'s... so i went smaller to 20# to get a feel for thing. or so it was recommended to me.

Either way, im excited... even if it needs strings and i need arrows still.  :(  plus i have no where to shoot still cause my yard has a tendency to swallow my arrows.

maybe i can head to the range and try it out if someone has arrows or something that are similar for it.

It will need a little TLC anyways so it will be nice to be able to give it a good cleaning, and maybe refurb the coating the wood has.  :)

It's pre-loved but it has history too. hopefully i can make it beautiful again! even though its not too bad looking at the moment.   :D

Siloutemirage, the last new bow I got was in 2004. It was a PSAX Black Widow Kingwood. I still remember the anticipation. Wheather it's a bow or activity there's always something to look foreward to.   :)

No rule other than size, and yours are below the 640 allowed. Ya done good - LOL

New bows are just like hunting - if ya don't get the extreme thrill anymore - it's time to quit - buying/hunting -   ;)

darn weekend mail people and being to lazy to update my tracking. I know it cant possiably still be in the same state. Im antsy for my bow. i have so many plans for it. I want to clean it and see if i have any fabric big enough to make a soft case for it and stuff like that! but i need it to measure it!

*pouts* oh well. patience is a virtue right?

Crossing my fingers for today. I'm having serious wanderlust right now. I want to be somewhere pretty and full of nature. Not in a store room filled with boxes and text books and me doing all the heavy lifting.  :(

I shouldn't complain. At least I still have this job. Don't know for how long though.

Boy it's dreary out but I bet it would be nice for some target shooting. Not sunny.

i know im sad! i think im going to get rained out again!!!!  :(  me and my boy really want to go on thursday. i wish the bass pro had an actual range and not just a place to sight bows.... wonder how much it would cost to run an indoor range?

Think insurance would be a killer.... Google archery shops naples fl and see what you find. Split oak might have a range.

Or just see how far you can shoot in your house! Then read the thread about what have you shot accidently!  :p

Split oak no longer has a range. Gues Naples is opposed to "fire arms" because there are no gun ranges in Naples either. They seem to shut everything down. If it's not pristine and chic they don't want it. I'm sure we have tourists that like to shoot just as much as the locals!

I wonder if it was pitched from an Olympic sport side of things if it would be favored more. Hmmm... We have lots of tennis and golf championships here, why not archery?

it makes me want to cry! (not really but it seriously bummed me) out to come home to no tube no nothing. i want to try and make some things for it, but i need "it" to do it. im not sure how well i trust the measurements i find online for a recurve bag... and whether my wheelie arrows are a good base to use for a home made quiver. im frustrated. i feel like ive wasted good time.

Hang tough lady!!

I know what it's like and I feel for you.

The good news is you won't even remember this the second you lay your hands on the bow.
