After a crushing miss last saturday at 12 yards, I was back in the field again last night.
I played cat and mouse with this girl for about 15 minutes under 10 yards. She finally decided I was an integral part of the forrest, and offered me a shot at 5 yards.
Easton 2018's ; tipped with Magnus 2 blades. Watched her go down within 50 yards.
3rd whitetail for this Bob Lee. They know how to make a Killer Bow!

Nice Deer!
That magnus sure left a nice mark!
Eric
It sure did!

:archer2: Good job!
Way to go
Very cool!
Super cool,, Thanks for sharing,
Me thinks the bow is great but the hunter is greater!
It's not the bow it's the Indian. ;) Of course the bow does add the confidence factor. Good job!!
Nice job! What state are you hunting in?
Great job on the doe congrats.Your Lee looks a little different care to put up a better pic.Looks like micarta with spacers.Kip
it almost looks like she has nubs on her head, but no "junk" down low so its definitely female . . . is that just me or does anyone else see that?
Anyway congrats on a great shot! And a big doe!
Nice kill
Nice.
I can't stop looking at the reflection in her eye. I know it's the flash, but it looks like the moon reflecting a wonderful shade of blue.
Big congrats.
Well done  !!!!!
Congrats on a fine doe.
Nice kill, that doe will look nice in your freezer! Man, I hope I get a 5 yard shot for my first one with a recurve, I think I could probably make that shot? Then again......With my luck I could find a way to screw that shot up too.
I'm glad you posted the pic of the Magnus 2 blade damage because I was wondering about those. Do you have any close ups of the wound channel? I'm not a sick puppy, just curious about the hole....bowhunters need to know these things. :)
Great Job! :clapper:
Very nice looking doe! Congratulations and way to be patient. :clapper:
Yep, it does look like she has an odd "cow lick" there above that moon-lit eye.
congrats, good shot too.
when they get that close its tough not to get busted.
Nice job!!!
Bill
Well done Matt.
Congrats, what a beautiful animal and great shot!
Thanks guys!
The bob lee is Micarta. and it is a beautiful piece!
And yes, I thought it was a button buck when I walked up on her. I inspected the groin, and couldn't find the 'junk' for the life of me!
Also, I do not have any close-ups of the wound channel. She was passed away within 3 to 5 minutes of the shot. She went right down in sight. The Magnus' are some nice heads!
Nice go'in. Our season opens next Sat. and I can't wait. Glad you had success.
A miss last Saturday and success a few days later, that's the way to get right back up on that horse that threw you Matt. Nice story, great bow, beautiful deer, and good shooting! :clapper:
nice
Way to go!!!!
I'll be using my Bob Lee bow this season exclusively!
Way to go!
It's not the bow it's the guy behind it. I also have a Bob Lee that needs a little action this year. Nice deer and great shot.
Good come back is right. No moping around, get back at it. Way to be still long enough to settle her. That's hunting!
Awesome shot.
Nothing like a little "cat and mouse" to clean out the arteries!!!
An experience like that is what every non-hunter needs to live...it is then that they will know their place in this world!!!
Great shot!!!
You DO know, your bow is indeed a sweet one, but it was indeed, NOT the bow that killed that deer!!!?
Thanks for all the kind words guys!
If I can put down another deer or two come the end of our rifle season (carry my bow all year round), I would really like to get some field time with my "new to me" bob lee longbow.
I got her camo dipped at Big Jim's...
The one in the picture is "Bobo" and the longbow is "Leebo"... Leebo is screaming for some action now!
Good luck out there everyone, be safe and shoot straight!
Congrats!
Great shooting, broadhead sure did a number on her! Congrats :)
Very nice  I like that you shrugged off the miss and went back at it.
Congrats :clapper:
5 yds! Very nice!! Congrats Joe
Nice shot on a beautiful doe.
