Guys, I am throwing out an invite to a couple folks from this site.
I know lots of people buy those high priced IL non-resident licenses and hunt with outfitters etc. I feel bad because it cost so much to hunt here soooo.......
If anyone wants to spend a week at my place during October or the first week of November let me know and we'll go hunting! Actually October 9th to october 16th is out do to the youth deer season weekend and some family comittments.
I have a nice little shop, heated, cooled, sattelite TV, wireless internet, etc back behind the house thats perfect for a couple of guys at a time.
As far as hunting goes it would primarily be public land about 3/4 of a mile from the house/shop, that requires a free sight permit (easily obtained online) and does have a four point on one side or anterless requirement.
I can't garantee you a buck or even a doe but there's plenty of them there to try!
What I can garantee is some good coraderie, lots of hunting and a great time.
So if you are from out of state and have a tag or a resident that just wants to hunt some new area's let me know and we will work it out!
This is a great offer. I am sure there will be a drawing for this because I am sure there will be a lot of interest. I don't know yet if I can get a full week off, but I will check into it.
That is a awesome offer Dennis. I know some lucky hunters will reply. I would love to make the trip but work will not permit. I appreciate the offer and I am sure others will feel the same.
Thank you again this is a very generous offer and maybe it can happen some day. Have a great time!
The generosity here blows me away :)
What a great thing to do!!!
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
This is super nice. Makes me proud to be an Illinoisian!
thanks
sam
This is exactly what I love about traditional bowhunters. The brotherhood of the bow is the best one to be a part of.
I can't participate, but I wanted to say that that is an awesomely generous offer. Thank you.
If I did not have stuff set up for another state, I would be there in a heartbeat. If IL a draw tag in that area?
I can't make it but I just had to say that this is great of you to do for someone. I hope this offer is still open when I do have the chance to go out of state to hunt.
thats a mighty fine offer,
Dennis-what a nice guy to make such an offer! Ever since I got into this website the kindness and good heartedness of the traditional archer is unbelievable! Thank you!

One of the coolest invites I've seen. Wish I could go. Can't. Much obliged at your generosity.
Nice offer Dennis! Hap
you are a good man for this.i can't make it,but your generosity is awesome.thank you very much for being a good person, steve
That's an impressive offer. Thanks from everyone here. Wish I could be there, too.
What an awesome offer. I'm out for this year, but if you do it again next year, I will sign up right now for it.
Wow. I wish. This is something that I need to plan for. Not fortunate enough to work in out on short notice.
Awsome offer. Hopefully someone will take you up on your offer!
How much is an out-of-state doe license? I hunt for meat, not horns.
Grapes IL non resident tags are terribly expensive right at the $500 mark when all is said and done. Tag, license, and habitat stamp are all required to hunt deer, that's one of the reasons I am offering this.
I feel bad for people who spend so much on that tag and come here with an outfitter on top of that! While anyone's always welcome to come hunt here with me, I figured some of the guys who already were planning a trip here may want to extend there season and hunt a little longer than there outfitted hunt.
If I was a non-resident I know I would!
How cool is this Way!! I'm saying..
It's out for me but I want to thank you so very much for your generosity!!
I feel honored to be a member along side you here in the Trad Gang family.
God bless you!

Never in a million years did I think this would go through with no takers???? It Illinois guys! By the way, no vacation time for me or I would be sleeping in your shop, no questions! Deer or not, hunting in different areas is always fun. If you ask next year?.....count me in Sir!
What a generous offer. I have vacation the 2nd week of November already scheduled. If I wasn't going to AK in 2 weeks to bowhunt Snowshoes I would be all over that. How about next year?
alaska for rabbits???? hhmmmm!
Next year is definately doable aswell for those who have asked, I would like to make this an annual thing!
Your only 3-4 hours from me. Im in central Michigan. I have never even seen a deer like you guys grow down there, I might pee my pants and run back to the truck if one walks by me!
I can tell you it is not because I wouldn't love to come and be your guest for the hunt and spend time with a fellow Trad ganger. I would do what I can for the chance next year. Like I said in my earlier post this a very generous offer and I too am shocked there were no takers. I guess like me it wouldn't work this year. I just came back from vacation last month. Thank you so much if it is offered next year I would try my best to schedule the time off. Thanks again what a fantastic offer. God bless you and your family.
I could do the second week in Nov. I have the 5th to the 25th. off! Shawn
what a great offer!! you are a good man my banker says i need to stay home
I would love to hunt with a trad guy and hang out. I am a special education teacher and I can take some personal days off the first week of nov. so shoot me a pm or the like if you want to hang out with a 52 year old......I will be moving to Idaho within a few years so I could offer the same deal to you when I get there. Let me know, Jerry
You just know with an offer like this that no matter who showed up you'd have a great time with another trad-ganger. Adeeden your generosity exemplifies what I find so satisfying in knowing traditional bowhunters. If I hadn't had such a rough patch economy-wise the last couple of years I'd be making plans already. Maybe next year? wulf
Jerry and Shawn I will be sending you guys a PM this evening with some more information!
Fellas, I will tell you this. I have the honor of calling this man my friend, and his generosity on this forum is tenfold in person. On the game side our area is chockfull of deer and not little ones either. It is not uncommon for does to dress out at 150 or better, and if you shoot a buck your gonna need friends.
I echo what everyone else has said brothergood on you. I would also like to add that I'm on vacation the last 2 weeks of Oct. and the first 2 of Nov. so you would get to hunt with me to.
I'm sure it will be a great time, trad bows, hunting, friends, wobbly pops, and lies, the peerfect mens getaway!!
No disrespect but if you have the ability for this and pass it up your a fool.
