anyone shoot easton full metal jackets? I shot one today with no fletching, seemed to fly ok and a heck of a quicker than my grizzlys
i shoot them and don't have any problems with them great penatration and fly realy well
I shoot them and really like them. I use the 500's with between 200 and 250 grains up front. They seem to tune nicely out of all my bows. I tried the 400's but with a shorter draw can't get them to tune. I'll be getting 60lb limbs soon and the 400's should work. I find them very accurate and the aluminum wrap will show flaws unlike a carbon only arrow. You'll like them...don't hesitate to try them...Ryan
Yes, love the FMJ. This may be of interest to you:

This will be my 2nd season hutning with them. They have treated me very well hunting as well as on the 3D range!
Put me in the love them column. There an awsome arrow choice.
Wow
I was going to ask about these today!
Ill try them after the season.
I hunted w/ them for one season...great arrows..great mass...great finish, but not as tough as I like... I switched back to the normal Axis sharfts as I've never snapped one.
The FMJ shafts are more brittle and WILL bend as the aluminum can get mis-shapen or dented when target shooting...
JMO.....
I bought a doz today, I pull 28" unless excited, 54#s (again unless excited). I bought the 400s and cut them at 30". I went with the standered insert, and 125 gr head. With no fletching they seem to fly great from my black widow.
What kinda broadheads are you using with the FMJ
Best arrows I've ever shot. I was looking for one arrow that I could shoot from all of my bows--44 to 56 lbs. The FMJ 400s proved to be perfect.

Bruce,
You can use any broad head you want. If you want to use some kind of glue on head, you just need to mount it on a broad head adapter. I've shot SS Snuffers, Woosmen, big Snuffers, and RazorCaps on them. Other friends use Stingers and STOS.
I purchased some this summer and really like them. I'm shooting the 340's, over 11 grains per inch. With 250 up front, total arrow weight is 622 grains.
I added blue barred feathers with the blue nock for my quiver arrows-look pretty good to me! White fletch on strike arrow. I also added a brass insert to one-total arrow weight is 688.
I've shot them for a while now, and have no complaints. They can take a beating too.
I'm shooting 150 gr. heads with standard inserts.

that was my problem, broke almost half a dozen one day while rabbit hunting, the Axis without the aluminum coating are way stronger!
Hard hits with heavy arrows will mushroom the shaft ends and bend the shaft at the back of the insert especially on angled impacts. They fly good but are too expensive for the easy damage. Get the standard carbon H.I.T. shafts.
