as season nears my blood starts to boil in anticipation. i am blessed to have a good group of friends to share the woods with this year as i usually only hunt with 1 or 2. its great to spend time with like minded people and carry simple stick and string. i also have a stand set in what i really think is the BEST location i have ever saw between low open hard woods and a small pinch point leading up to the top of the mountain. Adirondackman (John) had pointed this spot out to me earlier in the year and i owe him a HUGE thank you!! i feel it in my bones and in the wind that i will take a deer with lonwbow here this year. i look so forward to anyone i hunt with getting a deer and hanging in camp while enjoying fresh heart and liver over an open fire. this time of year is what i am all about, what i live for and dream off. i am a blessed man!
Your just say'n that..... :campfire: :goldtooth:
Good luck Ken. Our season opens Monday I'm excited this year too.

I seem to have spent a lot more time preparing this year. i am just so geeked up for hunting. I went today. Finally as the last bit of light was squeezed out of the forest, I did see a deer about 80 yards away. no chance a shot ... still so awesome! man i live for this time of year.
Good luck with your hunt'en. Hope you keep'em in the crease!
Bob.
And don't you have a new Kanati?
I always like reading your posts, you seem to have a good "feel" for things. Something in the wind at this time of year, for sure. You'll have more to share later I've no doubt.
Good luck Ken.I am heading up to the ADKS the first weekend of October for a northern zone hunting and fishing trip.It is an awsome time to be up north!.Stands are all in place at home And I am also looking foward opening day.Glen
All the best, Ken.
What a great attitude Ken, God Bless and good Hunting Brother. :)
You have a lot to look forward to...best of luck!
First day in the woods yesterday and what a rush. Opening day of bear is always one of my favorites because it gets you out there. The waiting, watching & listening to every sound. Every so often I just take a deep breath to take it all in. My brother was blessed with taking a great bear in the morning but with a rifle (oh well). Wish you the best Ken and the same to everyone.
I hope to make it that Saturday.
Ken,put your time in and it will happen.Somebody
will put deer on the camp meatpole'''''
great day at camp with 3Feathers (Tim). just don't get better then this, hope to repeat this same scene with a deer on the meat pole and fresh heart and liver in the pan!!!
