Title: Journeyman bows?
Post by: Andy Cooper on September 17, 2010, 09:30:00 PM
Who has one of these? The one below is listed in the Sponsors Classifieds with two sets of limbs for $400.     I don't have the spare change right now, or I'd grab it!

I bought a Journeyman longbow in the St Judes auction and it's a real good shooter....smooth and accurate.
They are a nice bow and a great value.

Hey guys, this bow is still for sale.  I am no longer doing the custom bow thing....seems like I was spending my entire bow building time answering emails and questions.
My wife is a part time RN and I am a full time Carpenter Foreman. I have been with the same company for about ten years now....which has been a blessing considering Michigan's current economy!  I don't think I will be quitting my job anytime soon to build bows fulltime.  I keep my prices somewhat low just to cover material costs and maybe a few hunting supplies.
I think I would make a horrible salesman...so I would probably starve to death if I had to build bows for a living!
So for now I am just going to build one or two a month (excluding Oct.-Nov.)and sell them as stock bows.  I do however take "suggestions" because I like to try new things and keep bow building fun!   :)
