Hi all,
Well its finally here! I ordered this bow about 2 years ago... the bowyer, Mark Kimber, had his hands full with a full-time job. I was more than happy to wait though, as Mark made my very first trad bow for me almost 7 years ago now...and I knew the quality of the bow he can produce.
Here's a couple of pics of my first bow (sold that sadly due to a shoulder injury which has now been rectified thankfully):

For my second bow I wanted to do something a little special and decided it would be an Australian/New Zealand themed bow (not saying they one and same thing by the way....might get stringed up for insinuating that...!!! :) , as I have always wanted to visit that area and reckon those guys living there have too much fun hunting...bout time they shared a little :)

The outer dark riser wood on my Huntsman is Burdekin Plum while the inner flare is called Lace She-Oak. My pics don't do them justice the Burdekin almost glows when held in the sun just right, and the She-Oak reflects light and the streaks in the wood make it look like its on fire....truly beautiful!

The nocks are made from Burdekin plum and Pacific Water Buffalo...bow shot by Mark Kimber himself...I really love this feature on my bow. I would love to hunt water buff one day and to have some horn on my bow seems a fitting tribute.

The limb veneers are called Ancient Kuari, and are .....wait for it, about 30,000 years old!!! This is no joke, Ancient Kuari comes from huge Kuari (pine) trees that have petrified in swamps in New Zealand and are harvested with great difficulty. The wood has the most amazing grain and glowing sheen to it, again the pics don't do it justice.

Specs are 64# @ 27" but Im drawing around 28". I havnt chrono'd it but it slings a 650gr arrow with impressive speed.
Oh one last pic but this is the armguard I made to go with this bow, the centre embossed "shield" was done by a local artist and I think it was superbly done. I still need to add some shock cord and speed loops, but Im quite pleased how it came out.

Hope you enjoyed!

WOW!
That is so great looking I don't know if I could take it out to the field and if I did I'd be admiring the bow and not see the game!

You have one beautiful bow my friend!!!!! The detail is superb and I really like the idea of 2 limb bolts. Not garish just very tastefully done. Understated like a best quality double rifle. I'm jelous!!!! Frank

Never saw limb tips quite like those....Stunning!!!! And what a fine compliment to such a beautiful bow!!
That new bow could hang in the Smithsonian Museum. I really believe that even non-archers would enjoy looking at it.
