Title: arrow question?
Post by: HoggyO on September 15, 2010, 08:10:00 PM
Hey Gang,

I tried to search this question here with no luck, Can you shoot arrows that are made for a heavier poundage bow? I shoot a 45# recurve, Can I shoot arrows made for a 50-60# bow? Will it affect my shot in any way?

Keeping them longer than 28" will help as well.
Or try woody weights.

Awfull lot of variables to take into account before it can be said if they will preform well out of the lighter bow.
Short answer is: yes, you can shoot them.

If your bow has and can shoot a low stretch material ( Fast Flight )string than I would say yes. At 45# you should be able to shoot a 5o- 55# spine, or a 55-60# spine depending on your draw length. As Guy stated, there are a lot of variables.
