I am wanting a selway bow quiver. Just wondered if anyone has an opinion on the quick detach vs the slide on model. I don't have the quiver inserts or limb bolts so these 2 are my options to pick from. Seems the quick detach would be easier on and off but does it hold as tight?
I've had both. Liked them both. With the detachable you do have to check them every now and then. Especially in warmer weather. Not a big deal to me. Pm sent.

I have had both. I've always liked the slide-on, but couldn't keep the detachable one in place on my bow. Didn't think much of it.
Before you commit, take a look at the Kanati quivers that John Dill sells. I've found them to be much better than the Selway at staying where they belong. He's got a quick mount strap system that allows you to take the quiver off without removing the straps so it takes all of about 30 seconds to take your quiver off or put it back on. IF you're set on Selway I'd go with the quick detach rather than the slide on - I've had the opposite of Cootling's problem.
I have a Selway slide on and I'm really happy with it but I agree with dragon rider, Kanati at least deserves a look. They look very cool.
I have a slide on, on my Super Kodiak. I like it. Every couple hundred shots I check it, it slides an 1/8 - 1/4". Not enough to worry about.
I've had both the Selway slide on and quick detach. Kinda like the slide on a bit more. Was always worried about cross threading the latter. Ya might want to look into a Thunderhorn Boa.
