Question for those of you who use ATV's, what do you do with your bow? I don't own an ATV or plan on getting one since my legs and feet work just fine. While working at our lease today I was looking at one of the member's ATV. He had a set of bow/gun holders on the front rack and I looked at them and laughed thinking that if I put my longbow in a set of those I'd wind up with it wrapped around a tree. It would stick a foot or more off each side of the bike.

I don't carry a bow or gun on mine, but I do carry a lot of other stuff like limb trimmers, shovels, stick ladders.............. What I do is put a pair of gun holders on the front rack closer to the handle bars, and a pair on the back closer to the seat. I put them out to the far edge left and right. They will take most shorter stuff across a rack. For long stuff I turn the holder around 90 deg. and run stuff front to back. It will lay under the handle bars and outside my leg that way. I do that a lot with my long pole trimmer and that runs about 60-64" I think.

I see you are in Louisiana. I bet a longbow would make a great spiderweb catcher, and if you've been on an ATV around here, you know what I mean.

I know exactly what you mean.

That is why they make take down bows. I built a rack on the top of my atv to carry my canoe, and it also makes a fine place to put my longbow.

I have a very long and thick gun case that I use for my muzzleloaders I just un-string my bow slide it into the case and strap it down on the back rack facing forward works great......stabow

Long bow or recurve will work!

The horizontal gun rack.
If the trail gets too narrow, I pick the bow up and hold it alongside or vertical and drive one handed. That happens very seldom, where I hunt I use the atv to get through the really wet stuff, after that, I walk (wade) LOL
