Charlie Lamb was headed west(just west Missouri) but he had time to stop off in Columbia and I drove up so we got to spend a couple of hrs visiting and shooting a few arrows.
I got a chance to shoot his personal bow (man I hope I get this right) "Curly". I was impressed with how it shot. I mean I'm not much of a shot to begin with and usually worse with a recurve but I didn't lose any arrows..lol
Charlie got to shoot my Win StarII with it's Dryad Epic limbs. I'd say he was also impressed with its speed and ease of shooting. It does have great point-ability.
We might have shot even longer but we were asked to cease and desist by a Bass Pro manager...lol
Seeing how it was on the back of their parking lot where we were shooting I thought it best we listen and comply...lol
Thanks Charlie for taking the time to stop by for a visit.
God bless,Mudd
PS: I did send him off with one of my "On-the-bow" blinds so I hope to get a report or two back from him as to how well it works for him.
Sounds like a good time! I've been to the Columbia Bass Pro several times, never saw anybody shooting in the parking lot though :D
Very few people out there that I would enjoy being rousted out of a BassPro parking lot with, Charlie is one of them.
I wonder how long the Wal-Mart would put up with us.

i wish i would have been there with you guys.sounds like you had a great time.best wishes, steve
LUCKY, LUCKY, LUCKY!!! Glad you had a good time Mudd. If I get by there on this trip I have my bow with me. Adios, Gabby.
That is great Mudd! Glad you guys had a good time. I thinks the police would have been called here. At least you guys got to shoot together. Sounds like a good time.

Had a great time myself Roy! I think next time we need to head over to "Target". I figure if we get in trouble there we can blame it on them for choosing the name. :D
It was a very good start to a great weekend. I could have sat on the tail gate for a couple more hours visiting.
Went on to Weston, Mo. for a visit/scouting weekend with my huntin buds, Mark Harris, Chris Kinslow, Tom "Gatekeeper" Porter and Gary Norris. Got a couple of sweet spots picked out, ate some killer BBQ and even had a couple of "cold ones".
Curt... you need to send me a full size copy (email attachment)of that photo. I don't have one.
P.S. I don't know much about that bow of Mudd's, but it was sure a sweet shooter and plenty fast considering the heavy arrows we were shooting through it.
Thanks for the kind words Charlie!
I hope I get to share a camp with you someday.
I too could have used a couple more hours visiting but maybe sitting in some Huntmore chairs..lol
Thanks for taking the time out of your drive for the visit.
I trust your car was still smelling clean when you got it home...lol
I'd love to see some pictures after you try mounting the blind on "Curly" or whatever bow you try it out on.
God bless,Mudd
Mudd,
Cool thread, sounds awesome. DO you have any pics of your "on Bow Blind" in action, and on the carry? I would love to see it.
Bob.
Its sure it hard not to have a good time with Charlie.....he's a great sport as well as sportsman.....
(this one's always good for a grin)

Unfortunately I don't have any of it in use. I can't seem to find anyone willing to follow me around an take the pictures I'd love taken...lol
The carry is easy, if you are carrying your bow, you're carrying the blind too.
Why don't you just make a plan to drive down and you can try it out 1st hand....lol "cereral!"
God bless,Mudd
