Finally made myself a new bow. Been shooting my old one for about three or four years and figured it was time for a change.
This bow is made from Kennym's 62-64" form plans. He also supplied the glass and laminations. I told him what I was hoping for and he nailed it!
The riser is macassar ebony footed with east indian rosewood. The accent stripes are osage and cocobolo. Limbs are amber actionboo under black glass. Tips and overlays are macassar ebony, osage, cocobolo, osage, and east indian rosewood.
The bow is 62" n.t.n and pulls 52#@28". After I had sprayed the finish, a friend pointed out to me that I had inked the bow at 60" :o Guess I'll just live with the typo because I really don't want to sand it down and re-ink it!

I wouldn't expect any less than first class from you. that is just one fine piece of work there. Simply stunning is simplicity and form. Great work Mike. Truly great. I'd like to see a pic of the front though. PS : I am personally partial to black glass and showing the beauty and class in workmanship. Those tipe are outstanding. God bless you and make some good memories with that bow. Steve
Awesome looker
Thanks Steve! I guess I didn't take any pictures of the front. Here is what I have. I will take some more after I run some errands.

Man I thought the first bow was awsome and then that grey action wood WOW! That beauty speaks to me, georgous bow.
The amount of talent we have around here is simply awesome!!
If I had a smidgen of the abilities shown by so many that I've been witness to on Tradgang folks would look at my work in awe too.
Thank you for sharing your work of art with us. It must have been truly a "labor of love"!
God bless,Mudd

Thanks for the compliments guys!
Barry was going for total natural camo on his bow and I think he got it. The only thing that bothers me is the finish. It's satin Thunderbird epoxy with a final mist coat for texture. I love the texture but the bows still seem a little shiny for satin finish. I might try to mist a little flat from a can to see if we can dull them a bit. I'm afraid if I steel wool the finish we'll loose the texture. Any suggestions? Thanks again, mike
