always change things up with my set up? I know it is shooting good and that the Magnus Stingers will do their job but I still want to try new things. I am shooting 5" shield feathers, but want to try banana cuts. Why, because they are different. I want to try different broadheads, why, to see if they kill an animal just as dead as others. Why is it that we are always wanting to try new things when we know what we have will work? :D
For me it's just fun to try new stuff.
God bless,Mudd
It's the women in all of us that comes out once in a while. :goldtooth:
There is no deader than dead, but there is dead right there. I don't think you can get that with an arrow though. Changing up keeps it interesting, guess that's why I have so many different kinds of broadheads when Zwickeys still work as good as always.

Now that's funny, I don't care what you say....lol
I will admit I have a feminine side...lol But it doesn't show when I wear my kilt..lol

I think tinkering is part of the make-up of many avid hunters. This year I'm making far more radical changes than any time since 1975!
--New Bow (recurve instead of compound)
--New Arrow
--New broadhead
--New Camo company and pattern
--Even new packs (fanny and day) to carry my junk.
--Best of all Re-NEWed EXCITEMENT -- Thanks to the curve!
Wow! I feel alone on this post. I very seldom tinker with my outfit because I was always taught to "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Am I missing a lot of fun?
cbCrow, the only thing you are missing out on is spending money and yes a lot of fun.

I'm with you on this one.
I think the simplicity of this sport demands it. Compound bows have all kinds of gadgets, screws and settings to play with so you dont get bored. A wooden bow and an arrows isnt all that tinkerable....hence new stuff!
I guess no matter how good your set-up is, it could always be better :D :deadhorse:
I like to try new broadheads, arrow material, shelf material, bows, feather shapes, string sizes, etc. Trying out new stuff does'nt mean your setup is broken it just means you're versatile.
The more you shoot traditional; the more you realize that shooting problems: are due to the nut on the string.
Thats the nice thing about traditional equipment you can tinker with it as much as you wish or in my case just use the KISS method; It's all what you enjoy doing.

What kind of wrench do you use for that? Monkey? :dunno:
Lots of good points above. I think the main reason is ... it's just fun.
Why do I want to... "Keep It Interesting!" Is the simple answer. Then again... This week I like wood arrows. Next week 2016's are great, etc. Gotta have this bow, that bow...
If ya keep one woman that is commitment enough. Other stuff you can change more than your under ware.
