I don't own a Jaguar but I have read lot's about them. Some good and mostly bad. It seems that a lot of people are having limb problems. I do not know if this has been corrected. If you are looking for a low cost recurve, the Samick Sage is a great choice.

Sorry can't answer those specific questions, but there are some cheap but reliable bows good for fishing in the classified forum.

Try clicking on the "search" link up top of the page and type in "Martin Jaguar" and then try "Steel Force". You should get plenty of results from past discussions.

As far as the Jaguar goes, it is a decent bow.  I don't own one, but have shot one quite a bit.  One of the guys that run a local bow shop (Wheelie bows) has one.  He wanted me to see why it shot so badly so I shot it about 20 times at 15 yards or so.  I had to stop when I robinhooded one of his arrows.
They shoot fine.  You need a centershot style rest, a B-50 string, some string silencers and some limb savers to tone down the noise.  Not a bad bow for the money.

Steel Force bhs- I have shot three or four animals with them. I don't use them anymore, because I had them come apart. the main blade and bleeders came off of the furrel. I now use either woodsmans or stingers

I used the Steel Force premium 4 blade in college a few years back.  Shot a coyote from the ground and blew right through him, with a heck of a blood trail.

Used steel force heads.  never got a critter with them, but they fly real well, with abit of a wistle.  Found they sharpen ok.  That is about all I know about them.  I do not use them anymore.

Bob.

I can second the Samick Sage. Great bow for the price. My son uses one and likes it.

no i don't realy want to buy one of these bows but figured i would ask cuase i never here much about them and i always see them for sale on other sites. As the the broadheads i was thinking about them instead of spending more cash than a phantom or like broadhead
