Title: early Bear bows

I just recently picked up an early 1960's Bear recurve.It is an Alaskan it has a shelf on both sides for right an left hand.I would like any info on this bow.I think it was made in Michigan.  :archer2:    :archer2:

Made in Grayling Michigan. Nice bow, Check it over to make sure it is sound and safe and enjoy it.

Iwas woundering if it was worth any money or not.I paid 30 dollars for it.Was woundering if it was a good buy.Thanks

The '58 (first year the Alaskan was offered) is on bottom and has arctic gray glass (though with the yellowed finish it often looks like the color of pi**).  The '59 is on top and has black glass on the back and orange on the belly.  The '60 is nearly identical to the '59.

I think after 1960 they had a singe shelf... got to check ym catalogs on that.  I haven't thought about the Alaskans for awhile.

Thank you Jeremy that helps I think it matches the '59. The serial number is NH482,62 INCHES AN 39#.
