Anybody have any experience or thoughts on them. Look to be just what i might need. Price is a little hefty.
-
No experience, but I have heard from others they are cumbersome and as heavy as thier price tags? They sure look cool though.
-
I Agree....They are SO COOL!! :readit: :archer:

Get some Mirrored Mylar at: http://www.mylarstoreonline.com/50ft.html
Glue it to some cloth or cardboard and make your own for a whole bunch less.
God bless,Mudd

Mudd you the man.
Is that the same thing the ghost blind is made of?
-
I don't know that answer but I don't know why it wouldn't work.
It's a mirror finish and it's not too expensive.
How hard could it be to apply it to some really thin wood, cardboard or cloth material. I can even see how it could be attached to the same type of wire frame I use for my homemade folding shield blind.
I cut up some concrete into 17" wide strips and cut the bottom off so it left wire sticking down to put into the ground. I zip tie them together so they will accordion fold and use a strap to carry it. It is covered with the die cut camo(same stuff I use for my "On-the-bow-blinds")
I feel like I will be deadly this season with my ghuillie, "on-the-bow-blind" and my folding shield blind.
I have already smoked my ghuillie and will smoke everything else before the 15th(our opener).
God bless,Mudd

Sounds like a plan to me.

For the less ambitious, the Ameristep Penthouse blind is tall and spacious and at $150 surely reasonable. Here is a web site for purchase. I have used these for several years with great success. You don't want to drag it around. Good for setup in one spot for a while.
