had a limbsaver come off the upper limb on my recurve. what is the best way to remove the sticky adhesive from the limb without doing any damage to finish of limb?
do you know what the finish is?
I actually just did the same thing yesterday. Spray Goo Gone on the adhesive, let is sit for 10-15 minutes, then scrape it off with your fingernail. No damage to the finish, and no sign of the adhesive.
O.K. I give up, where does one get this Goo Gone ? :dunno:
Thanks
Walmart sells goo gone. WD40,kerosine,or cooking spray will work to.
I use stuff called "Goof-off", its a little more harsh and needs to be wiped off almost instantly, but boy does it work. Its a little, yellow tin can like the old 3 in 1 oil cans. I use it to remove rest and side plate goo.
Olive Oil
WD-40, it cleans up best. Just My $.02. :archer:
Plain old cooking oil will work too and shouldn't harm the finish.
thanks for the input guy's. tried cooking oil last nite,it didn't have any effect on it. forgot i had some goo gone in the cupboard, just gave that a whirl, and it took it all off.if that didn't work i was gonna try WD-40.thank's for the help.
Another vote for WD-40!
