Title: removing limb saver adhesive

had a limbsaver come off the upper limb on my recurve. what is the best way to remove the sticky adhesive from the limb without doing any damage to finish of limb?

I actually just did the same thing yesterday.  Spray Goo Gone on the adhesive, let is sit for 10-15 minutes, then scrape it off with your fingernail.  No damage to the finish, and no sign of the adhesive.

Walmart sells goo gone. WD40,kerosine,or cooking spray will work to.

I use stuff called "Goof-off", its a little more harsh and needs to be wiped off almost instantly, but boy does it work. Its a little, yellow tin can like the old 3 in 1 oil cans. I use it to remove rest and side plate goo.

WD-40, it cleans up best. Just My $.02.   :archer:

Plain old cooking oil will work too and shouldn't harm the finish.

thanks for the input guy's. tried cooking oil last nite,it didn't have any effect on it. forgot i had some goo gone in the cupboard, just gave that a whirl, and it took it all off.if that didn't work i was gonna try WD-40.thank's for the help.

Another vote for WD-40!
