Beautiful day in Ky for the opener. 58 degrees this morning with a steady breeze. Needed a slickhead to take six more steps and there would have been backstraps for dinner. Saw plenty of deer but made the mistake of misjudging where they would be traveling and I was too close to draw my bow. Must be why it's called hunting and not killing. We're the most blessed people in the world to be free to do this.
