Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and just getting my 1st trad bow from a bowyer here in Texas this weekend. I've been bow hunting for several years and just now taking up the trad. Looks like a good place to be.
Welcome :wavey: Your right this is a great place.
welcome. Now you can have some real fun!
Happy to have you in the gang! :clapper:
Welcome Blue Tick.
This is a great site, I'm also new here and I have learned ALOT since I joined. These guys really know their stuff!
I've been bowhunting since I was 16 and killed my first deer with a compound the next year after I started. I've taken a truckload of deer with archery tackle since then, but this is my first year going afield armed with nothing but traditional gear. I'm really excited about it, I feel like this will be the year I finally get my first deer with longbow or recurve. Even though I've shot with recurve off and on through the years, I never felt confident enough to carry it in the woods, but this year feels real good, and my confidence level is higher than it ever has been before!
Hey Blue Tick!
Welcome to TG. You couldn't be at a better cyber campfire. I went trad about a year ago and I've learned a ton from this site.
By the way, the initiation fee here is that you gotta post pics of your new bow!! :)
Just kidding but we would love to see it.
:campfire: Welcome Blue tick
Welcome Blue Tick. I've hunted Texas once. Lots of variety and numbers of critters if you can secure a place to hunt. I imagine you have that base well covered. You'll find this a great place to shorten the learning curve if you are so inclined.
What everyone else said!
Welcome to the gang!
