Title: Moleskin Sticky Needs Removing...
Post by: Johnny UMAA on September 02, 2010, 11:42:00 PM
from my recurve limbs.

The good moleskin has peeled off of my limbs and the hard stick-um residue is left on both limbs running from just below the string nocks and about 5 inches below.

What will remove this stickum and not harm my finish on the lacquered bow limbs?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can just roll it off with your thumb, takes some doing, or plain old alcohol on a paper towel.

Just about anything with an oil base... even peanut butter.
