Would like to ask everyone to please be on the lookout for a Hummingbird take down Recurve. It is a Kingfisher model, red elm limbs, 46# @ 28". Has custom made for Travis Duit on it and Rodeo Man in parenthesis underneath the name. It had a thunderhorn bow quiver on it and also stolen was a custom made Kangaroo backquiver. These items were taken on Monday the 30th of August 2010 from my brother's house in southwest missouri. Any help would be appreciated if anyone runs across this bow somewhere. Thanks, Chad
I hope it turns up. Nothing worse than a thief. Gary
I am sorry to hear that and I will keep a eye out on the sites.
May want to watch Craigslist in your area.
Sorry to hear about that! That's just wrong! Keep the faith brother! And... I know it sounds weird but, we need to pray for the lost soul who stole it!
Thanks guys, been checking Craigslist, but no luck yet. Yeah rholzie the people who stole it need more help than us.
It's happened to me Chad, it sucks, good luck. :(
Thanks larry, I think I would be taking it better if it happened to me instead of my little bro. He just moved back here on friday and gets a bunch of stuff stole on monday. Not very good luck at all!
There is BW bow for sale in Missouri on the e-Bay web site.
Search 'Black Widow recurve bows'.
Good luck.
Charles.
Maybe someone will trip and fall on Karma while making their getaway.
This sucks.
Details are important in times like this so you may want to include where you were when it came up missing. Southwest Missouri is a fairly broad area. It may be helpful to narrow things down. The bow may be hanging in a pawn shop around the area where it disappeared. Maybe someone on here lives in that area or knows someone from that area. You don't need to provide the exact address, but a town, what part of that town and street or intersection would really narrow things down and may prove to be helpful.
My guess is the person who latched on to it, did it for short term gains and got rid of it as fast as they could.
I hope they catch the maggot.
What else was stolen??? We had a couple of guys around here that only stold hunting items. they would smash the window of you truck and only take hunting stuff bows guns treestands clothing you get the pic. it took close to a year but they got the guys and most everything stolen was in a storage shed. guess they were waiting to onload after people forgot about it...
Hope you find you equipment. Someone took my popup blind last year on some private land I hunt and that was just a blind cant imagine what you feel like.
Dave
I hate a thief...!
Check Eb*y and Craigslist.. Don't forget any pawn shops in your area...
Good luck and I hope you get it back.
John III
Check local arhery shops. Sometimes they will sell equipment on consignment. Often they do not have it on the shelf it is of traditional nature.
Call around and ask.
Good luck.
That is lousy!! I had a DB blind stolen last year. I set it up two days before a youth hunt and went itopening morning and it was gone, maggots is too good a word, POS's for sure!! Shawn
I had 4 bows stolen from me this Spring. I had them hanging on a rack in the Garage. Stupid me, left the door open one night by mistake and they were gone the next morning.
I filed a Police Report not expecting anything good to happen.
I got a call the next day that they'd found the guy who stole them and he was in jail!
Long story short- file a report! You never know how it will turn out.
Sorry for your Brother's loss.
Hopefully that wasn't your only bow being hunting season is just around the corner. If you need a loaner let me know.
Thank you all for your response, the bow was taken from a house just south of Ash Grove Missouri, which is about 15 west of springfield. We have contacted some of the pawn shops with no luck so far, we're not giving up yet though! Thanks again, Chad
I feel for you man. Just a couple months ago someone broke the latches off my shed and stole all my fishing rods. Not my bow, but just as bad. Got me for about $2,000 worth. I know how you feel. I hope your police are a little more worried about it than ours were. All they were worried about was filling out a report for the insurance. They didn't even start to patrol the area, and guess what, a month later someone stole my propane tank off my grill on my porch.
Shoot me a PM with the details. I work at the Springfield Police Dept and can check our pawn records online. I found a stolen Widow a few years ago that way. I have some other resources we can follow up with also.
this turns my stomach.nothing worse than a theif.i hope someone out there finds your bow.good luck, steve

chad sorry to hear that, i,ve gone in and found my treestands stolen, got mad and wanted to whip everyone in site. i'm sure your watching flea bay, they could seel it anywhere, from anywhere. i'll keep an eye open there.
I sure wish you all the luck I can muster in finding your bow.
2 years ago my daughter called me early in the morning to ask where I had moved the blind, I hadn't!
Someone came onto private property and made off with one of my favorite bow blinds.
It was large enough that both my daughter and I could hunting together in without getting in each others way.
If I ever see it, I'll know it! I doubt they'll find where I wrote my name with a permanent marker.
I will prosecute to the full extent of the law if the opportunity ever presents itself.
Good luck!!
God bless,Mudd
Homeowners should cover the cost but not the sentimental value. I know a large group of bow traders, buyers, and collectors that converse regularly. I'll send this to them to get more eye's on it!!!
Thanks everyone, we haven't had any luck yet. No deal on the homeowners he is renting a house from us and didn't have renter's insurance. Our policy won't cover it either. Thanks again, your watchful eye's are appreciated!
hope somehow things work out and he gets his bow back! NOTHING worse than a theif!! my co worker just had his bow and his wifes bow stolen out of his pickup!!
If you file a Police report, they normally share a database with the local Pawn shops. If the item(s) are being Pawned, it will show up on the Police files. At least that is the way it works around here.
Best of luck in your recovery.
God bless.
i have never had a bow stolen. I did have a gun stolen once and it turned out to be a guy that I knew and talked to almost daily. Might want to discretely check some acquaintences. I know what your thinking, I would not have thought this guy would have stolen one of my guns either. Greed is powerful to those who let it rule their lives.
GOD Bless,
I had a lot of my guns stolen a few years ago, not to mention money and jewelry. Never got any of it back. I actually go to court at the end of the month for the hearing of the thief (scumbag) who stole them. Good Luck to you!
I left 2 custom arrows , outfitted with judo points, on an indoor table at our local bowclub the other week. When I went back later to retrieve them (I forgot I took them out and laid them there), they were natrually missing. The part that disturbed me was I had put my name on them when I made them...some people! I don't want to know the agony of a stolen bow. Good luck...who knows...maybe the guilty party will return them???? If not, hopefully they are caught....good luck.......john
 If Ya Ever CATCH the Vermin, Put him in an Old Shed, Nail his Cajones to a Bench, hand him a DULL RUSTY KNIFE, then set the SHED On Fire!! Justice Will be Done!! CANNOT STAND a THIEF or a LIAR , and they go Hand In Hand!!
Good Luck To You, and I Hope Your Babies Find their Way Home to You Friend!! :banghead:
BTT one more time.
Karma willget them eventually.Hope you get it back!Once in awhile it happens .
I hope a brown recluse spider AND a copperhead bites him. THEN the bad kharma!....Phil
Maybe they will fall on a broadhead.
Hope they find them, I know your pain. This happened to me about 8 years ago, they broke into my garage and stole a bunch of tools and my bow. I didn't notice for a couple of days, I was loading up to go hunting, went to grab my bow (my only bow)and it was gone! Talk about ruining your season. Good luck, I hope you find it.
SOBs. Thieving varmints!
Sorry to hear that. Good luck
cant stand a theif, will keep a eye open for it!
Chad,I am very sorry to hear of your brothers loss. I have a couple bows that he could use. I ask everyone to check there local Craigslist for this bow.You never know where it could end up. Please let me know if there is anything that he needs. Big Ed

That's great!
That is frustrating! goog luck.
Contact the sheriff or police. They go in and check pawn shops on a regular basis in our area.
