I went a little nuts this last week buying some bows. Most were old Bear bows. The first one arrived today. It is a '62 Kodiak Magnum 52" and 55# @ 28".
You have to see the Brazillian rosewood on this. I was out shooting my 780 grain arrows off of it and it really spit an arrow pretty fast. I can't wait for the rest to get here. I bought the bow from Tim Breter (Red Boar). He is a great guy to do a deal with.
I had to share this Brazillian rosewood. What a bow. Fred really knew how to build them in the 60s.

Beautiful bow Gil. Congrats! :clapper:
I had 62 K Mag that I sold. That grip melted in my hands !
NICE.
That is one purty bow!!!
Congrats
Wow! Nice piece of wood.
If that bow were four pounds lighter, you would never have known of its existence (until I killed something with it.) Tim had a beauty, and will be kicking himself if he ever gets half-smart!
Oh... hi Tim! :wavey: :goldtooth:
Killdeer :archer2:
Beautiful!
That rosewood is amazing!
Love that rosewood - enjoy!
My favorite concert guitar is Brazilian rosewood. I never get tired of looking at it, makes me think I need a Brazilian bow to go with it. Anyone making bows with it today? Or would I have to supply it myself I know someone that has a bunch of it that is not quite the right grain for concert guitars.
That's awesome!!!.....Randy
That is about as pretty as Brazilian Rosewood gets in those bows.I love the '62 model too.I have one in 55# also.
Thanks for the comments.
I rarely put a bow up but I had to share that Rosewood. I like the riser on this '62 a lot. I think I am going to have to find a '62 Kodiak to go with it.
Gil,I love the KMags and the 62 is maybe one of the best along the 64 and 65.I would like to find a lefty 62 myself.
Gil,
You got a great deal. Very sweet 62KM.
Congrats!
Very nice!
