Which one would you guys choose or is it 6 in one, half dozen in the other. I'm leaning towards Asbell because I like the different pattern options.
That's a real tough choice they are both top of the line for the price.
I have both. The lighter weight brown longhunter with detachable hood and the Asbell vest with attached hood. They both have there place. I layer with the "longhunter" on top in cold, damp weather. I use the Asbell vest and hood when layering is not as important. I really prefer vest, so I guess the Asbell would be considered my first choice. Both are good products.
I have both. Both are made by the same seamstress. The longhunter is heavier wool at least in the grey and green. The asbell is lighter but I like the vest and the pockets. So both are great wool products. You really cant go wrong with either. If staying still like stands/ground blinds go with longhunter if moving more go with asbell, would be my recomendation.
Call and talk to Theresa, she will give you the heads up on the thickness of the wool. I have the brown Mackinaw as it was the thickest wool at the time, I use it for rabbit hunting, top notch!
I have a longhunter and love it
at 15-17 degrees - the long hunter....
though I just got a hooded vest from GFA to layer my pullover...
:archer2:
I have both and like both. I intend to get more of both.
I have both....love them both
I really like them both but the asbell has some real nice pockets in them that I really like.
I understand that Teresa makes them both. I prefer the shorter length of the Asbell models.
