I just made arecent post and was just wondering what boots everyone wears for the hot 90+ degree hunting weather Rubber Leather or cloth
-
bean uninsulated
-
Rubber grange by lacrosse.
-
Rubber Grange Lacrosse insulated, got some uninsulted and my feet swet to much in them.
-
Danner Pronghorn
-
Muck boots if going to a treestand...if sneaking, trail running shoes with "gaiters".
-
Another for the Bean uninsulated
Jeremy
-
Rocky snake boots and I hope they never get tested.
-
Meindl Perfekt Hikers.
-
Sounds like a job for for my Converse Chuck Taylor high-tops.
-
Danner Jackal
-
Ghillie boots (I swear, my mission in life is to convert all American hunter to these things!) They're ultra, ultra lightweight, soft, flat soled & silent to stalk in. If you eiher don't mind wet feet when it rains, or have an alternative for wet weather, Ghillies are the perfect early season/stalking boot.

I've been a Muck boot fan for years now. When it gets too cold (my Mucks aren't the insulated or even camo variety - just the plain ol' green ones) I wear a pair of thinsulate boots (of any kind I have on hand).
Those Ghillies sure look and sound comfortable, Rob but I hate wet feet. I have a lot of trouble with me feet anyway.
-
It's hard to beat the grange boots from lacrosse, atleast in my neck of the woods....or swamp. Around here moving thru some water routine, hell short unexpected swims aren't all that uncommon. And they are snakeproof atleast to cottonmouths
-
Moose hide mocs from Ely, Mn. or canvas desert military high tops.
-
Robtattoo those look excellent. I'm kind of a boot freak anyway. I really like Timberland Earthkeeper Originals, which look like a six inch leather field boot except the main uppers are instead heavy canvas trimmed in leather. Very light weight and comfortable. They normally sold for $130. but as usual they quit making them. I found two pairs for $38. this summer and got them both. Excellent warm weather boots but these Ghillies look like the ticket too. Thanks for the info. BW
-
I like the Broadhead from Rocky. Lightweight, comfortable, and have scent eliminating lining.

You don't mean those chuck t's that come over the calf like Lady GaGa wears ...LOL
-
I have some low cut Bogs. They are neoprene so they are hot but since they are low cut like a regular shoe they aren't to bad, and waterproof.
-
8" Danner Grouse leather boots for early season. They are comfortable and Made In The USA!

Lol no but now I can't stop picturing that. :biglaugh:
Thanks alot!
-
Lacrosse Alpha Burly FLX. I don't want to admit it, but they are better than the original Grange. Uninsulated of course. Rubber coated neoprene is the ticket.
-
Are the Browning Kangaroo Boots still around?
Those things were nice.
-
Laugh at the Chucks if you must, but you can throw them right in the washing machine which is a plus for hot weather footwear IMO. :p
And they're cheap. Wally World knockoffs even cheaper.
-
A good pair of snake boots around here.
-
Irish Setter 200g. boots ("shadow trek"?). I figure I'll sweat no matter what I wear, and the 200g. insulation gives a wide range of comfort. They're a bit stiff for stalking, but they're comfortable as all get out. When it gets real cold, my Danner Pronghorns in 1000g.
-
Vibram Five Fingers.

Hellz yeah! Chucks are the poor man's moccasin.
-
I wear the LaCrosse Alpha Burleys too. Of course, I don't hunt if it's 90 outside either lol..
-
Another Bean uninsulated.(nut)
-
Most of the above mentioned are great choices.
I use Danner pronghorns, Uninsulated Bean's and The vibram 5 fingers. All depends where exactly Im going, what Im doing and which ones are closer to me when Im grabbing for a set. Ive even used my issued Blackhawk tactical desert boots.
-
LL Bean, what else.
-
Merrell GTX Chameleon mid heights.
Have hunted AZ, AK, CA, and GA. Awesome boot with great heel cup and vibram sole. Swift, silent, and deadly...
-
I`ll be wearing moccasins alot this year.I wore them a couple of times last year, and they were comfortable.
-
Snakeboots. Other than that I use a pair of field shoes ordered from The Sportsman's Guide for $59.00. The field shoes are very comfortable for casual walking, and I don't have any steep, rough terrain that calls for special ankle support.
-
merrell chameleons also
-
what ! no flip flops ?
-
I have a new pair they look like camo cross training shoes, they are made by danner. I bought them from Cabelas, we will see how well they work.
-
Some 8" Bean boots for early season in VT which is Oct. If it was 90 out, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be hunting.
-
Don't know the name of them but they are from Cabela's, I tried looking them up but couldn't find them. They are sneakers inside a rubber boot, you tie the sneaker first then just zip up the boot, they are attached to each other. Very comfortable and light.
-
I wear tan Oakley spec ops boots. They feel like a good pair of running shoes. The sole design is good for all surfaces and the flex in the boot sole is so good you can go all day. Stable but enough flex and quiet I keep sneaking up on myself. Seriously I was at a shoot a couple weeks ago and at 265# I don't weigh 210# like I did back in the Corps, anyway I had the guy in my group yell out twice during the day as we were recording scores and I was right behind him he never heard me.He even made a comment about being so quiet.
-
I don't ever think I am having any fun until my feet are wet. If I was not such a wimp, I would go bare foot on warm days.
-
Pavan I have some pics of me and some of the boys goose huntin in shorts and no shirt. course their wasn't as much of me back then. lol I forget who said it but if we didn't hunt in 90+ weather you wouldn't hunt during the NC bow season lol
-
Another vote for Mucks here.
Bisch
-
I second the Danner Jackal. I love the Pronghorn boots too but for the warmer weather, Jackal.
-
Bow season opens here in 10 days, it'll be hot and the first deer will be shot with me wearing shorts a T shirt and flip flops, traditional old school flip flops of course... and a footed wood arrow.
-
Lacrosse La Grange uninsulated for me!
-
Out West, I find that Meindl boots give me the most comfort for the most miles. The "Perfekt Hikers" are the most versatile for me.
-
90 degrees, no boots at all!! I wouldn't be huntin! Shawn
-
Anybody ever make ghilli flip flops?
-
We need to get on LaCrosse and bring these back. I just found them and they're discontinued. Look perfect for early season stalking:
