Well, only three more days and elk season opens. Went out this morning and did a little sneaking around. Bulls were already bugling, and I had cows talking all around me. I only hope they stick around 'til Wednesday. After a night of pouring rain, there was a beautiful morning; you could hear the elk from a long way away....

If you look closely, you will see a spike bull grazing peacefully...

September 7th and it is game on here in Washington State. Bjorn is coming up and we are going to be enjoying bugles and warm days in the woods. Lovely pics. Enjoy your hunt.
Beautiful photos, brings back fond memories of my one and only Elk hunt 10 years ago.
Good luck too you
Absolutely breath taking!!
Thank you!!
God bless,Mudd
Incredible stuff! Thank you for sharing.
You elk hunters have this swamprats respect. Having hauled a few 300# pigs out of the swamp, I have no idea how you guys get those big critters out of the woods. Miles from the road and there are HILLS! And mountains that you have to climb up and down!
Good luck my friend.
Wow!
Not gonna get to make a trip out west this year to chase elk. I look foward to reading stories and seeing pictures.
Good Luck to everyone heading out next week!
Awsome pictures. Good luck.
Beautiful pictures, I wish you a good hunting.
Bob,
I will be shooting a Pronghorn takedown, 56#@28, cedar arrows and Magnus or Zwickey 2 blades if an elk cooperates. With luck, a blue grouse or two will stumble across my path, and I will offer them a judo point.
Great pics. Best of luck!
Should be some Colorado folks posting hunt pics soon. I know of one successful hunter already.
Those type pics really get me all hoped up for the season to start! Thanks for sharing....
