I have made a few take down recurves and still do, however I have been wanting to make a one piece and was wondering has anyone shot a bingham one piece and if so how does it shoot? Does it have smooth draw decnt speed any hand shock?...thanks....Lonnie
I've got the plans, but never have gotten past the reading. :(
anchor man i think earl in hutinson made a one peice i shot at prat last summer and it was nice no shock and fast and preety to boot
I've got a 65# Bingham one piece recurve, I've had for about 40 years, and taken countless deer with. I don't know how the new ones would compare with it, but this one shoots great, with no handshock, and has plenty of speed. If there the same as they were then, they make a very good hunting bow.
I built one back in 2003 (it was my first) and it is still in great shooting condition. I have taken many deer, a turkey, countless carp. The bow is 47#. I now shoot only longbows, so it is tucked away till on of my boys decides they want to try it. As for hand shock, there is none. Drawing the bow is a dream. I opted for the laminated riser block they sell, and like the looks of the different colored laminations. If your wanting to make one, you will be happy with the results. Atleast I was.
