ArrowChucker won the Old Shrade folding knife I had in a give-away.
He pm'd me. Here is how our exchange went.....
ArrowChucker.....
"Gee I don't know what to say I have never won one of these giveaways before. I didn't think I would win this one either. I was just reading through the posts of people that wanted to be put in for the drawing. Seems there are several who wanted the knife for a youngster. Like the one that went to Cabelas looking at knives and wanted a knife to take to camp and was gonna buy it himself....etc. Why don't you look through the posts and choose one of them that needs the knife and send it to them from both of us. I appreciate the opportunity. I think someone else would need it more than me."
My reply:
I can appreciate that but I also have a suggestion.
Why don't you pick who is the most deserving, let me know who you pick and I'll send it to them under your name.
Here is Darrell's choice!
That sounds fair. For some reason the one that took his son to Cabelas and the son was gonna buy it himself just stands out to me. I think any kid that wants to spend his own money on a knife is deserving. I guess because I had to do the same thing when I was young. That post is on page 2 so that would be my choice. Thanks again I really appreciate it.
Darrell's new winner pick is mmisciag's son!
How stinking cool is this??? Way!! I'm saying!!
God bless,Mudd

Outstanding! Even though I've been here only a short while, the level of courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness for others is much higher here than on other boards I've frequented. Kudo's to Darrell!
It don't get no better than that!!!
That's what I call a upstanding person & my hat is off to him & all the others who are here & have the same sentiments.

Nice to sit here at a lousy job (but it's a job) and find a reason to break into a big smile reading this post.

thats why i love the gang.thanks you to.you both did good.
I'm not gonna get into specifics, but I did a deal with a VERY nice fella here on TG who sent me a set of limbs to try out for almost two weeks without me sending him anything at all, just to see if I liked them. When I made a counter offer on the limbs, he met me in the middle, and also offered to let me pay in two payments just in case money was tight. You can't get any better than the class of people you meet here at TG, but this gentleman downright awed me.

My personal experience has been:
1. I was lent a bow when I could not afford one
2. I've been given 2 doz wooden arrows just because
3. I was sent a test broadhead from Red Feather Archery free of charge (a sponsor here)
4. I've gotten support and great advice from hunters that are far more experienced than anyone else I know
5. I've been inspired by all of you!!
Tradgang members are the best folks I've found!!
Thats what it is all about
I agree Mudd that is Way Cool!! :clapper:
Yes Sir! This group has no equal.
:)
I got to say that since I found this site, I've met some pretty nice people. I first came on when the latest JLMBH was getting into motion, and I thought that was cool as heck. Then when I attended and met many Tradgangers face to face, WOW. I had a blast. And in over 30 yrs of bowhunting, and shooting (20 of it traditional), I've never been to a 3D shoot or any other "social" shooting/hunting event. I didn't know what I was missing.
Great story Mudd
That is great!!!!! :notworthy:
I really think "Traditional" carrys on a lot farther than just our equipment choice,it comes from a time when neighbors helped neighbors and a persons word and a handshake was all that was needed. This site we all love so dearly are these times.A big thumbs up to everyone here.
" The only thing Bigger than MUDD himself,Is His Heart".
