Just curious what bow or bows are on your "must have" list for someday, my list was an ACS, tomahawk, and a turkey creek, all I have left to buy is that turkey creek....I am sure another must have will replace its spot though
more griffins.
One more Pronghorn for sure.
The only one that was ever on my "must have" list, I just bought... a bear takedown.
1965 Bear
Crow Creek Mag
tall tines
Original Harry Elburg. I have a 58" cheetah 56#@28" from Adam Proctor formerly Elburg Bows. But an original would be great. Haven't found a better bow yet.
My pyramid black locust self bow. Don't have any interest in a bow I didn't make. I do have some though and once in a while I shoot one.
Jim, now in Kentucky
I already have it, my Cocobolo/Yew Toelke Whip. In addition I have had Dan make me ten others, Whips, Super Ds, t.d. recurves and a Chinook one pc. recurve but I guess I just wanted those.
I would like to have a 66" one-piece Blacktail recurve.
I don't have a must have bows list. I have a real long must try list.
Zipper, Tall Tines, Silvertip...Mike

Well, there is the Toelke Black Glass "Whip" (on its way) :bigsmyl:
Perhaps a Spitfire archery composite horn bow to go with my Spitfire Hwa-Rang.
A Marc St. Louis HHB static recurve.
Got them two A&H's and a Morrison, also a custom Gerlock longbow. :)
Got them already - 3 Das recurves. Occasionally try different limbs - Dryads seem to be a hit.
toelke classic whip 64" in low poundage
I will like to heve one of does
All my "must haves" are on order at this time:
--November Delivery--Rose Oak Super WIldcat
--December Delivery -- Rose Oak Limbs for Bear TD Supreme
--April Delivery -- Schafer Silvertip
--July Delivery -- Blacktail Snakebit
The bow on the list above that I would pay $100-200 extra to move up its build date is the Schafer.
I'm being very careful NOT to open any threads that describe bows by other bowyers because I need to stop this purty bow buying.
By the way, a must have that I didn't know about is completely different than the recurves listed above -- The Stick by Strickland is the best shooting bow I own and will go to the woods this year! It is also the most economical -- by a little bit.
I would say a Pat B. selfbow, Osagetree (Joe Weed) self bow or a John Scifres self bow.
About any good wood bow.
Pronghorn and more lost creeks.
Marriah Thermal, Stahl T/D recurve, Fox Triple Crown longbow, Crow Creek Black feather with longbow and recurve limbs. Hmmm, I have all of these already and Elmer will be building the recurve limbs for my Black feather and then refinishing the riser and longbow limbs.
Bill
Rampart 3 piece Recurve
Pronghorn 3 piece Longbow
A couple more Sarrels
Although I'm just startin' out, and have only just ordered my first custom longbow, I'm already looking further down the road at my next one...a 1pc. Mohawk.
just bought a Schafer ST with two sets of limbs and have one ordered. I've always wanted one, I fact I talked to Paul several time but just couldn't pony up the money at the time. Big mistake. If you have a bow on your GTH list buy it!!
1959-62 Bear Grizzly.
I must avoid posts from:
--WildmanSC
--Winterhawk
--Caccitorre
You fellas have tastes too similar to mine and have a knack for hunting up some might fine equipment that I have to learn to say NO to.
One that never misses!
Bill Stewart Multi-Cam
Whippenstick
Sasquatch
Border Black Douglas
Off the top of my head. Sure there are more.
Just ordered the third one in all Myrtlewood with insanely complex figure from Wes Wallace and have a fourth in mind with Juniper Veneers and not sure on the handle materials. I only own Royals.
Dala
ACS RC riser with 62" limbs
And maybe another Lewis Hollow take down recurve I love mine, maybe just a tad longer
I realy like the Rose Oak Super Wildcat for a one piece recurve, I like the Zipper Extreme riser with Evolution recurve limbs, I like the looks of the Jack Kempf Kwyk Styk 3 piece static recurves, and I should be getting my Border 17" ilf Black Douglas riser soon!
There are so many great bows these days?
IT is better to stay out from this thread for me.
A self bow home made... I'm still looking for the right tree :D
Blacktail... Think I have owned everything else??
Pretty much a "to try" list but-
I'd love to get ahold of a 60" PMA II with an Asbell grip in 53-60 pounds.Semms like those are non exsistent.
I already have the one bow I MUST have..A silvertip Curve..
Border Black Douglas, HexVI limbs,62". If I found one in the low 50# range my rack would be complete.
there are just 2 bows that i really want.apex predator "ossabaw",aneewakee "addiction"
Foley, Zipper, and maybe bob lee. Already have an Assenheimer, Habu, Gamemaster 2, and Dorado
Robertson Tribal Styk
I really would like to gets my hands on an osage self bow made by one of the talented bowyers of Tradgang. Even better would be to locate someone close to me that would be willing to coach me through building my own. My own functional self bow is my "must have".
1957 Bear Kodiak
1959-60 Bear Grizzly
I want to try one of the bows that takes all the different limbs.
I mean it can be a longbow one day and a recurve the next.
They just may be too technical for me to figure out but I need to give myself the opportunity to fail..lol
God bless,Mudd
The one I need to hunt with.
A selfbow made by someone who knows how to do it right...then a selfbow I make.
I already have one, but, I have grown very interested in this whole ILF thing. I think there may be a DAS or a Black Swan in my future.

I'll third that :clapper:
An original design laminated 2-pc r/d lb that still only exists in my head...oh and did I mention it is super fast, extremely quiet, unique design, and beautiful in an understated kind of way?
:bigsmyl:
I would really like a Centaur with sheep horn inlays and tips
I'd like a predator classic and a blacktail snakebit.
spitfire hwa-rang thats about all.
I have a Sapphire and a Sasquatch coming. I build bows though because I could not find a bow I was completely happy with. Now I'm getting very close with the Talon Takedown Static. Anyone that has not checked out my website and seen them needs to. I hightly doubt that there is a quieter or a smoother pulling recurve made. Its no slouch in the speed department either. Seriously, Check them out. I know you haven't because there are none mentioned on this wish list. God bless you All, Steve
My must have list has been completed. There's probably an ILF bow in my future though, most likely a Morrison.
Ever since I first looked up custom bows, I have been wanting a Centaur and a Big Jim. The Centaur, Cocobolo & Olive Ash, will be finished next April :D Then, a Big Jim Thunderchild TD, all B&W Ebony, will be next!
Saluki horn bow
I make my own bows, but would sure like to have one of Steve's Talons.
Another Blacktail in myrtlewood and ebony footing. It will be done in the Spring.
I added a Centaur to the rack and have been loving that bow also.
Dave you are in a rut. Its a nice rut but its still a rut.
Mike perhaps we can do some trading one of these days. I did a trade with Sasquatch.
There are just too many bows out there I want to name them all...maybe that's why I'm toying with the idea of making my own.
Don't have a "Must Have" list... I like my Shawnees and MOABs just fine...
BUT...
I'd like to try the new PCH Widow, also the All Carbon ACS-ACX from A&H, also their Apogee... But, until I have $1500 or so burning a hole in my pocket I'll stick with what I have...
Also need to find $'s for the MOAB I have on order, and my Deer mount... So, those on my "To Try" list will be waiting for a while! ;)
Shrew Lil' Favorite !!
A real horn bow.
60" St. Joe River longbow is on my short list, might have to let one of my recurves go to fund it, but it will happen in the near future, hope Michelle does'nt find out. Todd
More Morrison's of any flavor. I love them all as long as they have a low to medium grip. :bigsmyl:
Blacktail, Silvertip, Black Widow. Someday would like to go to the widow shop and shoot some. Have the other two but will be getting rid of the blacktail.
The one I ordered!!!
Hunting season is WAAAAYYY close.
None but I mght buy another or two:)
haha...Sixby, now come on, I mixed it up a little with a Fox Royal Crown and a Centaur Chimera.
MORE MOHAWKS! :archer:
Been working on that list a few years now and think I pretty much have them. :wavey:
I've shot all those bows except the Centaur and its one bow I would really like to get someday. I know who gets the last laugh here. (grin) But it will all be with good will and in fun God Bless you , Steve
A Big Jim thunder child and a Mohawk, both T/D.
HH red man and 70"walnut and amboyna Mahantango longbow
Thare ahall always be a bow that I want to own but at this moment it seems that I always come back to my Border Black Douglas.
Maybe a Renegade Spirit II for a longbow is what I wanna own some day.
Schulz all bamboo or yew/bamboo backed. I do not know where there is one available and it will not be this year anyway I just bought a new NAT from Lost Creek for my wife, hope it gets here by deer season.
A Centaur or another Jack B Harrison "El Lobo"
Black Swan
The only one I've been keeping an eye peeled for is a 40ish lb, 21st century, 62".
My "want to try" list is too long to get into.
Actually, I have two:
1. 1960 Bear Kodiak - 60" - 55#
2. 1965 Bear Grizzly - 55#
Hey....it's a nostalgia thing! :archer:
MORE MOHAWKS! :archer: :deadhorse:
One of Berts Quarter Moon longbows, on the list for the spring, just waiting. It's awful having to shoot my Caribow or a Kempf Kwik Styk. Another Caribow is on the horizon as well.
Terry
Any LH Kodiaks from '64 thru '70
doug77
A&H ACS 60" 47@25 with a carbon riser and a beaver tail grip. If Santa is a Trad member I hope he reads this. :goldtooth:
A Dye Medicine point and a Black Tail Snakebit. Both on order
It would have to be a Morrison!
I will someday be the proud owner of a Kanati! Today is not that day! :(
I love Big River R/D longbows. But some day I'm going to get me another Cari-bow (Feather horn 66")

I already have my "Must Have Bow" it's a Fred bear T/D Kodiak Recurve.
   :archer2: :archer2: :archer2:
I wasn't sure until I got her: Tolke Whip, 60", 48# with Macasser Ebony riser and boo lams and core under clear glass. So I guess that my list is complete until next week.
Oh yeah, I would really like a 60"-62", 47#-50# Deathwish.
The one in my signature was on my "must have list" until I got it! So, I'm a happy camper.

:archer:
I also like the A & H ACS, Kanati, Shrew, BW, Morrison, and Beeler bows too.
HH Big Five, 68" brown glass and cocobolo riser. I will have to see how the shoulder surgery goes before I can settle on the draw weight. :knothead:
I already have the bow of a life time in the Beeler Tracker longbow. However, if I had a "must have" list it would another Beeler, only this one would be with the new longbow design Dave is working on.
Another BW SA2, sold mine, haven't found anything I've liked as well.
a widow pchx, i just love widows
Tall Tines, it is being built now.
Another Shrew Classic Hunter for me. I screwed up and sold the first one I purchased.
