There are a lot more left handed shooters than before. Just left the classifieds and it's loaded with left hand bows for sale a wail back they were only a few for sale now and then. Anyone else notice this?......stabow
I do.... Now I just have to get a raise to buy more of em...
it does seem like there are more leftys on the market than in the past. thats a good thing !!
I would wonder if this is being caused by righty's switching to lefty to cure some form issues.
hey boyd...how's that riser working out for ya? but to the point i find it very refreshing to see alot of lefty stuff being offered.
ortech1... i'm one of those, i shot rh for 20 yrs. before switching because of cross dominance.
I am in the process of learning to be a lefty. I don't plan to give up right handed shooting, just wanting to stretch myself.
There may come a time in the woods where it might come in handy.
God bless,Mudd
Mudd, you want to shoot left hand just to buy more bows.LOL
Maybe lefty are all collectors.

My wife is going to be offering up some of her old Camo :biglaugh:
I love it. Finally able to get the gear I need.
Magnus
I am always drawn to the lefty threads here and in classifieds. Nice to know who it "southpaw" for future reference.
Welcome to all lefthanders!
More guys are becoming enlightened. :bigsmyl:
I've not posted much I spend more time reading an learning but I'm a true lefty an I love all the lefty stuff you can't find it anyplace else
Two leftys named David Mitchell. How's that for coincidence?
[chant] Lefty, lefty, lefty...
I know I'm not alone. I feel much better. (:
Martin
PS - I think in my right mind.
I'm happy. Switched for my dominant eye and you're right, a fair # of LH bows for sale. I may just have bought one. Waiting to see....
Mitch-in-NJ, how 'bout that :wavey: I heard that there were two of us!
I'm a left handed shooter too.... but I have to admit that I sometimes shoot right handed animals. They taste the same to me.
I'm a southpaw, and was born on National Left Hander's Day to boot.

Yes. We're very popular. ;)
Lefty here. Like to shoot different bows, but I am starting to settle into my "keepers" so I have a list of Lefties if anyone should deem it necessary to PM me.
Another Leftie here. It is good to see so many others who shoot from the "wrong side" of the riser. Come on out of the closet...Papa Bear was a leftie too :)
Not a convert due to injury. I am one of those mixed-up folks who is left eye dominant but right handed. Thankful that my Dad picked-up on it when I was a youngster. Have always shot "backwards"!
Lefty here as well...drives me nuts how cheap some of these lefty bows sell for...end up buying more than i should
Another lefty here. I don't know if there's a bigger proportion of us now, or not. I've always thought the classifieds seemed to go in cycles... half the time there doesn't seem to be any LH bows for sale, then the other half of the time it seems to be just flooded with them! Maybe lefties are more connected than the "unwashed masses"... some kind of moon-phase thing when it comes to selling bows! lol
gene... thanks for the very kind offer, i know i'm a camoaholic but ya gotta draw the line somewhere :-)
Another lefty here. Haven't been to the classifieds in a while - very happy with the Bob Lee I bought off Big Al a couple years ago. Thanks Al!
I'm RH but Left Eye dominant. Shot RH for 28 years and LH since 1996.
The archery industry makes 10 RH bows for every Left-handed one. However, when I teach archery I find that about 20-25% of folks in the class should be shooting left-handed because of left-eye dominance.
Now about the classifieds. There aren't enough Lefty Schafer Silvertip fellows out there, but I'm adding one to the pile!
Kind of a pain sometimes, go to a shoot an see all these cool bows and can't shoot them because their wrong handed! I do have on left handed friend that seems to be ahead of me in the most bows competition so it's not all bad.
Another true lefty here. Definitely more LH bows listed than when I started following this site. In less than 3 years I bought over ten of them so I did my part. Went and sold back half of them now that I have a feel for what I like the most. Never shot a bow I didn't like.
Lefty here...
Sort of mixed up---shoot a bow and a gun left
and write with my left hand but everything else is right handed.---Oh well the important stuff is done with the left.
Elf,
I was raised by right handers so I fall into the same category. Write, shoot and eat left handed. Everything else right handed. My parents did have an influence on me.
Martin
Same for me , important stuff left hand, bow, fishing, gun. Writing right hand, throwing right hand.
Forgot about all that stuff - I shoot a bow and rifle left-handed, but the knife and handgun have to be used my my right hand. I write left handed, but anything heavy gets carried with the right.
another lefty here...at our michigan bunny stomp i think i was the only lefty there, then i shot at the traditional bowhunters of georgia north zone shoot and there was a bunch of us shooting lh there, maybe its called southpaw for a reason?!?
I'm right handed, but lost my right eye in a shooting accident in 1963 - so have been shooting left handed since. At least I don't have a problem knowing which eye is dominent . . .
Craig
I do everything left handed but i'm right eye dominant. Too late to change now.
Right handed, but eye problems forced me to read and shoot my bow from the left side. Great bow prices when buying...tough to sell.
People are more savvy to the left eye dominance thing these days and are shooting left handed whereas 40 years ago they probably would shoot right handed as there weren't many LH bows on the shelf. Custom bowyers have recognized this for a long time but production companies lagged behind.
Love seeing the lefties...keep 'em coming!
I'm soooo left handed the right hand would be useless if it wasn't holding the bow.
