I'll let the pictures tell the story but it was great to see some old friends and meet some new ones!

Wow!
Congrats on the Pronghorn.
Thanks for sharing the photos. I can never get enough of everyone`s photos!!!
A great start for the coming seasons.
My youngest son came over to look at the pictures and exclaimed "we seen that guy at the shoot in Grayling!!!"
Safe travels wherever you go. Thanks for being the representative bowhunter that you are.
-
Wow, fantastic goat. Looks like a great trip.

Great pronghorn!
Congrats!
-
Congrats Bryan on a great Pronghorn
-
What a beautiful animal! Congratulations to you sir!
-
Thanks for all of the kind words guys! As several of you know, the pronghorn has proven to be my nemesis. This was my 4th hunt for the speed goat. Nothing ever seems to come easy for me but I am proud of the fact that I am persistent and never give up. I don't hold any illusions of completing the "traditional slam" but I did tell Fred Eichler that I could set the record for the "most expensive" slam since it usually takes me 3-4 hunts for each animal.
Jack - You'll always carry the title of WRB...can't give that title away :)
Bonebuster - Tell your son I said hi and make sure we get introduced the next time we're at a shoot together.
I'll be back in Alaska on a DIY hunt for moose and caribou in September. Best wishes to everyone this Fall!
God Bless,
Bryan

Good luck in Alaska next month Bryan. Hope to see you in Kalamazoo this winter.

Wow, Good luck in AK bud :notworthy:

Super antelope Bryan!
Is that one of the 3Rivers Kodiak takedowns?
How long are those horns? They look LONG!
-
Nice buck!
-
WOW, that looks like it was a fun trip! Congrats!
-
Hey Steve - Yes that is #17/100 of the 3Rivers A handles with 55# limbs.
I think the horn length is just over 14 inches.
-
Thanks a lot Jack and Curt. I love Alaska...want to go every year until I can't do it anymore.
Jack - I plan on being at Kzoo and Blake better have an updated trading card :biglaugh:
-
Congratulations Bryan! I always look forward to your stories and photos. I want to get out to Full Draw Outfitters one of these years.
-
Beautiful animal Bryan! Best eating there is!
-
Jason - You should just go ahead and book the hunt...the spots fill up fast.
ksbowman - Michele made up a roast from my antelope and the guys couldn't believe how great it tasted and how tender it was. Michele is an awesome cook!
-
Great antelope Bryan. Looks like it was a great camp to be in.

Nicely done my friend. Have fun in AK as well! Mike

That is awesome Bryan and I know the feeling of the antelope curse, been 4 times myself, just ask Fred what happens everytime I show up for a hunt! Congrats on your animal and nice, still see your shooting that Bear T/D been a around a few places, eh?
-
Bryan, was that buck an old friend or a new one? Had a chance to meet and talk with Fred at a trade show a few years ago, very nice guy, not a pretentious celebrity. I envy your chance to hunt with him. Congrats!
-
Congrats on a beautiful buck Bryan and good luck in Alaska!!! Looking forward to stories and pictures from your Alaska hunt!
-
Dang Bryan I almost choked on my lunch when I opened up TG and saw you up top with a nice antelope. WAY TO GO!!!! You know, your hunting buddy never mentioned you got one. Good luck in AK.
-
Thanks again guys for the kind words.
Mark - I've been on an antelope hunt with you in camp and if I remember right it rained a lot! Something about you and water...good thing you love bowfishing!!
Owlbait - Chances are I've seen this goat on one of my previous hunts...let's just say it was nice to hook up with him again.
Greg - I think the heat was getting to Dale from having to spend so much time in the blind. I'm sure that's why he forgot to mention it :)
-
No, he suddenly had had alot on his mind when he found out he was a bit off in his planning for our hunt. But I figured in a week and a half he would get around to telling me if you got one. Hey, you know Dale's got a good start to break your record to get an antelope.
-
I think something needs stated here...for the record.
This was Bryan's 5th actual antelope incarceration. It's true! He logged almost 300 hours in a blind to get it done. Nobody knows how many air miles were spent...how much petro was burned...the cost of licenses and tags. You can only imagine the number of crackers and sandwiches consumed in the blind. Enough water and Gatorade to make a high school football team proud. The guy practically made it to legend-status by simply not getting his antelope! Personally, I believe he's been killing whitetails just to alleviate his pronghorn problems. Then the inevitable happened: along comes Colorado's unluckiest (but now, most appreciated) big buck antelope, and Bryan kills him. He called me from his blind just minutes after the shot, and seeing him go down. I called him a liar about 3 times...and then I believed it. I still feel a tiny bit bad about that...
Anyway: I saw the initial pictures of Bryan, his buck and his guide. I can only imagine how he felt. We have a common friend who logged about 5 sheep hunts before connecting on a big Dall. Try to imagine what it feels like to walk up to that animal...how it must hit you.
That guide looked awfully young. Did anyone bother to tell him he was guiding a legend? Hell, Bryan starting hunting antelope before that kid was born.... (!)
All the best....!!!
-
Greg - Dale and I were doing a spot & stalk on a nice antelope shortly after you called him in his blind. He was in panic mode for sure after realizing that he had a lot to do and the clock was ticking...he kept saying "I can't believe I just lossed a whole week"!
Kevin is right about one thing - this was my 5th hunt for antleope not my 4th...but hey, time flies when you're having fun. I share a little story to give you some insight on what kind of friend Kevin is. He knows I'm in a blind that's about 115 degrees going through pure torture. He sends me a text asking me if I would like some ICE CREAM!! On a positive note, he ended his text with well wishes on getting a nice buck. Five minutes after the text, the antelope was on the ground. Thanks for the inspiration Kevin and when we're in Alaska next month, you need to believe my stories!

You get Your shoelace stuck on a branch..... Sorry Mark..LOL

That's too funny Bryan. Well I am glad it will all work out for him. But I can just image his hunt was pretty much all over at that point. I think I even started to feel sorry for him just a little bit there. Now I just have make sure I don't do anything dumber.

Great thread but would have liked to have more pics of Michelle.
