Haven't had the opportunity to see a Safarituff quiver in person, but from the picts I've seen the quivers appears to be quite rigid. I would occasionally be strapping the quiver to a treestand using a bungee cord and would like to know how it would hold up. Will the bungee cause the quiver to collapse against the arrows or is the quiver made of a stiff material like a plastic tube that will resist collapsing?
thanks!
Kris
Kris,
It's kind of inbetween. The lower section does collapse a bit against my body but the top stays pretty rigid as well as the bottom, broad head holder, which is very rigid. You could bungee it through the strap at the top and over the bottom, broad head area.
I just hang mine from a hook so that the arrow opening is easily accessible. I don't see why a bungee wouldn't work as well.
I hang mine from a hook or a limb. It is a great quiver to use in a tree stand. The large opening makes arrows easy to access and put back. If I were using a bungee I would wrap it around the strap and not the quiver. It would certainly interfere with the access to the arrows if wrapped around the quiver.
sorry for the confusion. i meant strapping the quiver to a treestand that's on my back while hiking into the woods. It would have to be secured to the stand with a bungee to keep it from flopping around.
just wondered how stiff the quiver is.
thanks
Unless you have to get the bungee extra tight it will hold up just fine. They're slightly rigid but not board stiff and soft without collapsing.
