I shot this camp photo last Sept. in the Uncompahgre Wilderness. I can still smell the camp smoke! About 11,600', just below timberline.

Gary, What is the internet address for this Magazine. I've never heard of it. Ben
Nice looking cover shot. Looks like a good place to spend some time.

Nice Gary...
Sweet Picture, thank you for sharing. I shot a picture of our elk camp in the Uncompahgre Wilderness years ago above the Bears den. Canvas Tent, smoke, mules and since lost the picture. Yours brings back great memories of that hunt and of that picture.
Once again, another great photograph Gary!
I also hunted the Unc, but being that I live at 600 feet above sea level don't believe I'll be goin back. Some fool stole all the oxygen from up there! But that is a good photo.
Once again, great cover Gary!
Thanks guys. My wife told me that it might be OK to hang that photo on her "freshly painted living room wall." Problem is the living room hasn't been painted in years . . . hmmm.
mmmm Just caught the aroma, what times supper
OUTSTANDING as always Gary :campfire:
Oh wait!......I think I can? Yes, now I can smell it!
Nice picture Gary!
Tell ya what guys, we ate like kings in that drop camp! Two nice bulls strolled into the meadow in sight of the sleeping tent during the trip. One had a bunch of cows with him and went the other way but the other bull, a pretty nice 5X5, walked our way one evening looking for my cow call. There were 3 big wallows within 100 yards of camp, only one was there when we first arrived. The other two sprang to life while I was sleeping:^(
I believe I can. Great picture sir.
I can smell it - I leave next Friday for a 2 week solo Colorado Elk hunt. A great time to reflect.
Gary your magazine looks real interesting I will check it out.I talked to my son yesterday in northern Alberta and he and a friend went into our elk spot, they took in a load of supplies and did some prescouting.Tracks all around ,found some big sheds and 12 grouse right around camp. They also cut a load of wood.YEA I can smell the smoke.3 weeks to go!
Yes, please do. Tom's TradArchers World magazine is certainly worth a close look. He's a sponsor here. I was pleased to have my photography on the cover of his upcoming fall issue. Don't know if you've seen it but, that's my photo on the current (Aug/Sept) issue of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine too . . . it's been a good year:^)
Wha a picture! thanks for sharing. Who's bow is that?
That's a Morrison ILF. The other side of the limbs are copperhead skins.
