Title: Ways to Help out tradgang's website
Post by: **DONOTDELETE** on August 16, 2010, 10:42:00 AM
If I miss anything please add it.

Here is a few things we can do to help tradgang. Now I'm not asking for anyone to send money, but these things will help a lot.

Read all rules on every forum area.

Make sure Your pix size is not to big, Photobucket has a setting to load pix to website size.

If You have a problem, Don't post it for everyone to see... Send it to Rob or Terry or even any of the other admin's or Mod's

Do a search for your Questions first ( This is more so for the Newbies )There is tons of stuff You can find that should answer Your question, that have been posted.

If You need to get in touch with a member don't post it on a forum... Send them a email or PM. If Your not getting in touch with them that way, then ask if anyone else spoke with them.

I know one is really hard for some members, Don't jack a thread... I have had some threads jacked and members just posted what ever they wanted to say. and when asked why You do that, Their answer was something like " Well if I didn't no one would have seen it on page 2"

If Your not a Sponsor, DON'T POST ANYTHING FOR SALE IN THE POW-WOW OR DO LINKS TO THE CLASSIFIEDS.

These are just little things we can do to help run Tradgang smoothly.

You can do an advanced search on google too.
Just search tradgang.com on the advanced search screen.

I haven't been here very long. But even I'm tiring of seeing the same questions time and time again.

I don't mind answering a    :deadhorse:  question to help somebody. Just rather not.

Clean up after yourself (  ;)  ), sometimes known as editing the subject line of your original post on the classifieds to read only, "Sold", after it sells.

Now I do this at times when a thread goes the wrong way or out of hand... PM/email a Admin or Mod and ask for it to be deleted.. This is more so to make room for threads that are not jacked, running wild or even making other fight..

... and DON'T FORGET TO PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK, yes, YOU, for everything YOU do to help make this one of the most supportive/clean/sportsmanlike/family-friendly sites on the internet.

BRAVO tradgangers!

Thanks Mystic.....also folks, please make your topic trad bowhunting related.....don't make outlandish claims that are unfounded,  post on stuff you actually have real experience with not just parroting, and don't send me a cuss email when I pull the thread you started about your grandmother's 'traditional' thimble collection.

I'm going hunting later today     :jumper:      :jumper:      :jumper:  Cohutta is open for small game....and they consider hogs small game here in GA.

I am No Admin or Mod here. Just a member trying to help Tradgang, because it has Helped Me.

I was a Mod on a New Jersey hunting website years ago and I know how it gets. With as many members as Tradgang has it is hard to police each and every thread in every select of every forum area.

If You make a thread and some words turn in to ***** Please DON'T MAKE A THREAD ASKING WHY, It is better to send a PM or email to a Admin or Mod to find out why..

Actually read the thread before you make a post on it.  Don't just post a comment because you think you know what the thread is about because then you end up with posts that have nothing to do with the topic which in turn causes other people to post unrelated comments.
