There has been quite a bit of interest lately in applying snakeskins, so I thought I'd share the set that I just completed for my bud 2Hats (Danny).
They are TT Black Max Carbons and will go on his Morrison ILF riser. I placed my metal Morrison ILF riser beside it just for kicks.

:scared:
You know whats a shame.I can't even see them here at work,so I will have to wait till I get home to check them out on my computer.Nook ,,you're right my treestands aren't much higher than a round hay bale.lol.I relly am hoping for a nice yeller Timber to come rolling on by.I shouldn't say that since that is possible in some othe places we hunt.
A.S.......Thanks bud for all the hard work
Snake skin limbs are awesome looking. I just bought a used Morrison Dakota with skinned limbs (copperheads) will be out of town all next week so won't see it for 10 days or so. I have a new appreciation for home.
SWEET >>> skins
Thanks guys! Now I just need a set of copperheads or canebrakes for my new ACS limbs.
It is a very time consuming job, but well worth it when it's finally complete.
Great job Allen on those limbs.
Those are some of the best skins,Ive ever seen, nice job.
Squint
Nice Job!
I think the reason you hear so much about them is because we got folks like you who keep posting these ridiculously gorgeous pictures of um :) .
Seriously, great looking skin job. Every time one of these threads pop up I am getting closer and closer to get some put on my Griffin.
Dax
Very nice work!
What kind of snake skins would they be?
Bill, those are western diamondbacks.
Allen I want to see those ACS limbs when there done so I can make a decision to send my limbs to you. tom massaro
Wow! Those are sharp! Very nice work.
Great job.
Wow, you are a talented individual. They look perfect. Let us know when you start your skinning business I have one I'd like done now. ;)
What glue do you use to glue the skins one with?
I ask because I put skins on a recurve last year using TBII and topped with Super glue, and one of the limbs started coming loose when I unstrung it the other day. Not sure what I did wrong besides use the wrong glue maybe. Thanks
I'd like to have my truck done, Allen...you can do it next weekend; I'll park it in the shade
Paradocs.....He can't he will be doing my Harley then..lOL...Look forward to seeing you and breaking bread, whoops I mean Crabs.... :biglaugh:
A.S. is rather talented indead.Cool Springs will have to sponser him
A S those look great. i posted a while back on a different form asking how to apply skins properly, i got 2 responses saying they didn,t know, and one asking why i would put skins on a beautiful piece of wood. i said they look good, are one of natures best camos and they look better on a bow than under my feet. would you tell me the proper way to apply them? i would greatly appreciate it. it certainly looks like you know what your doing.
Thanks again guys. For those who are asking, here is a great tutorial that I have followed. The only thing I did different, was I did not use superglue over the skins (I had several folks say that had bad experiences with it). I applied the skins with Tite Bond III, then sealed the skins with 5 coats of Tru-Oil. To cut down the shine, I sprayed a couple light coats of Krylon Matte Finish. This stuff is awesome, it matches most bow finishes exactly and is really tough!
